Elementor And Page Speed | Is It A Problem?

  • I see that there is a group of people that think Elementor and other page builders are the worst because they make your website slow. Often it is people that are really fanatic when it comes to page speed.
In this video, I want to talk about what the goal is of a website, if Elementor makes your website slower and if that is a problem.
    Get Elementor: ferdykorp.com/elementor
    Get Fast Webhosting: webhostingfk.com
It is true that Google will rank your website lower when your website is slow but it does not rank you higher when your website is blazing fast. When you have a decent web hosting provider and you use Elementor in combination with a few other plugins there is nothing to worry about.

I really hope my virus joke does not offend anyone. It comes across as a bit stronger than I intended. While there is a virus in the world I try to focus on my family, friends, and the good things in life. I know people with a lot of different views on the situation on earth and I respect every one of them. So again. I hope I do not offend anyone.

Ferdy you make so much sense in this video. i have client using elementor and it’s slow and she has made little over 2 million in sales in the past 2 years even during the pandemic. I truly believe it’s the content and not so much the site speed. You have the right content people will come to your site. keep up the good work!

Hi Ferdy! I have a problem in wordpress. I want to use Bitter typography and in the elementor it works but as soon as I go to the page it turns to Sans-Serif. The other problem is that the pictrues I upload to elementor do not appear on the page. Could anyone please help me? Thank you in advance.

I know you don’t think Elementor slows down the website but with a Ezoic it apparently does slow it down. If I remove Elementor, can I keep the pages I’ve already built but then go forward with Gutenberg? Will that speed up my site?

Hi I don’t know why I didn’t see any of the problems with Elementor before I built my website with it and 48 posts! Now I am trying to add Ezoic and seeing how it slows things down. Can you tell me: if I very slowly work on one post at a time, converting to Gutenberg, but leave the pages as they are, will this improve my site speed with Ezoic ? Ezoic doesn’t tell you up front that this will be a problem and while I was researching pagebuilders trying to figure out how to do this on my own, I never heard one bad comment mentioned about Elementor. I also have Astra which is supposedly an additional “problem.”

But I've simplified everything as much as I can. The problem is, my website isn't fast. It's so slow. I need to know how to speed it up without sacrificing function and design.

I agree wholeheartedly that the small differences in speed really should have no effect on your end goal as long as your content is adequate. However, using one page builder or Gutenberg blocks over another is not content. It's coming to the point, as far as design is concerned, that there is not much you can't do with Gutenberg block plugins that you can do with page builders.

    • @JoeGator23
      @JoeGator23 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I like Elementor Pro, but Gutenberg is big going into the future and clients are going to ask for it by name. I own tons of software licenses for these page builders, including Elementor Pro. However, if you ignore Gutenberg, you will be at a disadvantage as it's power and capabilities increase and you have no idea how to use it properly as a creator.
My advice is to learn both systems, and it is not that hard to add these additional skills with practice- if you can drive a car, why not learn to drive a truck, right?
In the future, lots of small businesses are going to start with Gutenberg because of ease of access to web design at a great price. When they upgrade, they are not going to want another platform, but want to expand as Gutenberg grows. Someone in their office will probably already knows how to use it. So it is only common sense for them if they already manage their own website and marketing to keep it running for their needs without learning a new platform.
If you don't know how to use Gutenberg, they will call someone else who does... people like me. And I will get their referrals.
However, if they want to try Elementor, I can do that, too. I've owned it since the beginning and enjoy the ease of use offered to clients.
      Just something to consider.

Very nice video. Things that matter :
    1. Good use of elements and widgets of elementor. Only the necessary and only the minimum number of sections you need to build.
    2. Use of elementor pro, because some of the features include and replace other plugins like the contact forms or social media share icons.
    3. A quick server.
    4. A cache plugin like wp-rocket.
    5. Optimization of images with jpg or webp format.
And of course, content is the king.

I love Elementor over all other PB but Gutenberg is on top of speed. also, the next WP version 5.9 with full page editing the game will be changed. We have seen major increase in the number of plugins supporting Guttenberg with lot of features to make it major player but not close to Elementor.
It is true that there is compromise between features and speed. However, degrading the importance of speed in Elementor needs to be supported with numbers and many youtubers already showed that there is difference and it is not small.
Elementor still the major choice for pro Web Dev/Des but the must work harder/faster in the speed issue and maybe slow down the features stage.
I liked the idea of other PB to skip WP and go to Cloud Solution and Elementor should think for solution out of the box.
