The majority that watch gl don't watch bl so comparisons to that series won't be an issue, if there is an issue it's how some toxic gl stans constantly compare the chemistry of different gl couples, the fact that this show is airing right after Affair which a lot of people now say have the pair with the best chemistry and Affair was also based on a book by the same author as Pluto and they share the same universe, so comparisons are going to happen. Also without spoiling too much this plot has a lot of twists, the blind storyline isn't what it appears to be.
I don't think the storylines will be toxic as the novel is cause GMMTV is well known for heavy edit of storylines. They have same production team as "P.s i hate you" which is, in my opinion, the best GMMTV series ever made although it's not romance series but murder mystery series (i highly recommend it). They specialize in mostly mystery/thriller series. I think they went with more of mystery approach instead of drama approach from the book. The book's thriller was sidelined a bit and it focused on mostly drama. The series looks very different. Yeah, I understand about Pluto's author, Chao. She is same author who wrote Gap, Blank and Affair. She is actually creepy so i really don't want to defend her but Thai GL cicle told me that Pluto is the least creepy novel written by Chao. GMMTV would heavily edit it. I think GL companies are realizing it's not worth to adapt Chao's novels and moved on to better GL novels. Like IDF. They finally stopped adapting her novels. They went for Loyal Pin which is the best and well-produced GL for me nowadays and has the healthiest relationship within GL so far. I think GL fandom has lots of BL fans. I've seen them around and interestingly, "straight women" are actually 2nd main viewers of GL while "queer women" are the 1st main GL viewers. But yeah, BL fandom is different. They have more male viewers than GLs does. Still, women are main consumers of both BL and GL. Because romance is mostly favored by women. I don't think viewship will be a issue. If anything would be a issue, it'd be "disability representation" just like Last Twilight series. However, GL fandom is more sensitive and more political. Sapphic women have a voice there and even criticize a lot. So i hope GMMTV doesn't do anything negative about disability representation.
@@morbidgirl6808 lmao not „she‘s actually creepy“ 😭 what is it with bl and gl authors😭😭 also yes, as a sapphic myself I am here for all the criticism! 💅🏻 -Elise
@@WifeCrispies Ikr. She is obsessed with power imbalance in a relationship and I've heard that her "bottom" characters are based on the image of her crush who doesn't even know her. So her novels are basically her s3xual fantasy with her crush 💀 She also romanticizes mistreatments, toxic jealousy, abusive behaviors, pseudo-incest and SA. Her age is over 35 i heard but she literally asked out a 19 yrs old actress, Becky who played as Mon in Gap, on Twitter. And Becky also accidently spilled that author likes to pick her cheeks a lot. Wtf. But Becky was smart enough to ignore her when she asked her out. She seems to like much younger women which explains why does her novels' characters have a huge age gap. I'm glad companies no longer get her close to actresses.
I read the novel, wonder how they'll adapt it 😅. It looks somewhat more innocent than it is 😂 It's a mess of a story 🥴 good luck! I'll be watching with y'all 👌😁
And trust me, this series is a high quality series, the cinematography, the actors, the production are top tier. This series is different from other with low budgets. And please read the novel first before you make a reaction ,you guys are too blind on this that's why you don't get anything.THIS IS A HEAVY DRAMA.you don't get how this trailer is that good.😅 Please read it, you still have time, ill drop the hint, metavee the blind girl is not really b****
@@Jeloration Hey, I know you mean well but please dont just drop a heavy spoiler. We never read the novels to she shows we react to, I dont even know how to get access to them. We are okay with going into a show blind, so we can experience all the twists and turns first hand. Of course we are blind on this, its just a trailer and I like that they didnt tell us too much. They didn’t show it on the trailer but there’s so many more plot twists the novel was crazy
