As AC can have other component like high surge voltage, noises etc etc. So optocoupler protection is important. How we can protect it with other component around it ? 1. Sir my second question is, what are other component used with optocoupler , what is value of resistor , capacitors , Zennor diode ? 2. I couldn't understand, as you told zero crossing is only used to count pulses. if its 100 , means board is working fine? what is there other use of zero crossing ? is there any other motor we are switching etc ?
