Some people are really dumb i mean come on! There's a huge difference between being energetic and over energetic. You can dance moderately to match the whole group. Chiquita and ruka are energetic too but still are in harmony.
Kyujin’s dancing wasn’t overdancing, just her stage presence and aura gave it to her.She slayed so others girls didn’t get any attention, that’s why other fandoms started hating
I remember Newjeans Fans criticized Kyujin lot Indirectly that time because She outperformed Haerin in her own song (Hype boy) while dancing with her. But others Praised her and Kyujin went viral as Blue coat girl or smtg ❤
Wouldn’t call it over dancing however in a group it’s always good to match each other’s energy to look synchronised and a good team. The concept of group dances is that one can go extra when it’s your part and you take the centre stage, else when it’s someone’s time to shine, you have to blend in, it’s always good to tone it down and let others shine. That’s what a good dancer is as said by K-pop choreographers
it’s soo annoying-male idols don’t get hate for it at all even though it actually looks bad when they get on stage and “overdance”. Heaven forbid they get a dance where they can thrust, they will overdo it so bad and just get praise for it 😭😭
Yeah no, not really. I remember San from Ateez received massive hate for 'overdancing' to their song Guerrilla. A lot of people made fun of him, called him scary and weird, and even said that 'he did too much just for some attention'. Something similiar also happened to Hyujin from Stray Kids during their Maniac era. People said he was doing too much and some even said that 'he is ruining his handsome face with scary expressions'. It's not really about idols gender. It's just that some people wants to hate and are searching for a reason
I agree women idols get treated differently sometimes than men, but this one isn't one of the case you know. Even men get criticized actually, maybe you just don't dig enough. I literally remember some comment in youtube and twitter that said "these days boy groups look more like possessed by devil rather than properly dancing"
You guys should understand that a good dance is with right amount of energy, not overdance it, or underdance, to deliver what the song wants, you requires to being moderate and considering how to executing a dance routine correctly
i loved it when ahyeon 'overdances', it was the reason why i even checked out babymon content. i loved watching how passionate and performative she was, it was so evident that she loves her work. now she fits in but looks like she's lost her passion and wings it, i just don't watch it anymore sadly.
I think people need to realize that giving a good performance is a TEAM effort. So when one person gives too much energy, it doesn't make the whole group look good in terms of dancing. It's totally okay to have a lot of energy and sharpness but it's more better for a solo part.
Do you guys say this about male idols? I can name 2 male idols who over dance causing the group to look messy and out of sync but they are praised for it
Huh? She lost the beat in some places and was out of sync with the members. Added to that, standing out in a group dance is a bad thing. A good dancer knows how to match the energy to both the song and the rest of the group
here’s my take, people should NEVER hate on these idols regardless of how they dance but it’s also important for members to not outshine the others by “overdancing” cus it also affects synchronization
Y'all who say over dancing is not a problem have never danced in your life! As a dancer, sycronizing with yoyr group and utilising your energy and being more SHARP with yoyr mives is very important. If someone puts too much energy than required for a step than that step execution seems messy and overall doesn't do justice. Stop defending your idols 😭😭
The key is to give same energy as the rest of your group, to keep the energy consistent throughout the group. When people watch, they are expecting harmony and dancing lazier or with more energy than your team members would make you stick out and which makes the group performance look inconsistent and not synchronized, as if they don't have group practice sessions.
But the baddie step was suppose to be powerful watch the og version made by choreographers the rest of them toned it down because many idol have a tendency to put less energy in dancing as thry need to sing too but others can do it easily
@@chancellorchandler No. If someone is overdoing it for the concept (which Ahyeon absolutely was, the song wasn't that high-energy and was meant to be more elegant), then matching the energy would make the dance not fit the song
@@xthetic_skyyno, ahyeon was valid, like if this is something fans have to point out multiple times with different choreography’s she’s doing something wrong
They are not overdancing. Most of these idols have a dance technique that is above the typical 'idol dance', and as most fans are not used to it they think there is an overdancing.
No, dancing isn't just about power, energy and sharpness. You should have to know when to use those 3 because some songs doesn't require too much power. There are songs that needs fluidity and minimal power. You need to balance your moves especially when dancing with a group.
It’s annoying how idols give their all to show their amazing dancing capabilities and it is seen in such a negative light. They all look great doing the dances. We should be paying attention to their talent!!!
I am a dancer and I can say that this isn't overdancing. They are just adding character to the dance, which is really rare to see because no everybody has this kind of talent. I hope they still dance like this because it's way more cool.
No he danced well for someone his age. You guys just like to pick on him because he's unconventional in everything he does and doesn't care what others think
So people hate the underdancing and now people hate the overdancing! Honestly I love seeing overdancing because you can see they put their soul and engery into the dance(not saying under dancing they aren’t but you see it more with overdancing)
I have been a dancer for over 8 years and I have a speaking position. They don't overdance, they dance very well! Their dance is like this, it cheers up everyone who is watching and the members, there is no such thing as overdance, dancing is this! I think their strong dance is very beautiful.
There is no thing as "overdancing" Idols are just putting more efforts than other members. Or fans just want lacklustar performances. If they don't dance with energy everyone bash them calling them lazy and not sutaible for their jobs.
They're just really good dancers and have great stage presence, and people are just jealous because in their minds it affects their favs. But the truth is that every Idol is good at what they do.
@@Anika9884 It has nothing to do with loyalty. There are also many female idols who are loyal. That's why their fans are double standard. Not just a few but many. Look it up if you don't believe me.
No, male idols also get the same hate. E.g San from Ateez got so much hate, and even got harassed at one point, for this. Hyunjin from SKZ is another example.
I hate when people say "You complain when theyre dancing lazily but also complain when they're dancing energetically, you can never be pleased" maybe we just want idols to dance well and fit with the group? Lazy dancing and over dancing are BOTH bad and should be worked on to get fixed. You should want your faves to improve and be the best they can be! Obviously I'm not saying anyone deserves outright hate, but constructive criticism (especially when you're this early in your career cough Ahyeon cough) is a good thing!
This!! I know that some people can be hating but there are also people who are trying to give constructive criticism but the fans immediately call them haters and stuff like no. The point is that a group should be synchronized and one member over dancing can ruin that (which is why I completely disagree with the people who say "well then they should just match their dancing" referring to the person who is over dancing like 😭) the whole group should match the one person who is off? I don't think so...
This is not fair guys.... When they don't dance with that much energy, they are hated for lazy dancing but when they dance with energy then also they are again hated for overdancing. Plz k pop companies our shining stars are receiving hate for breathing also 😔 🙏
@miniverse__.-sl2fh it clearly is. Most of these idols danced better than their group (for example yujin). Their bandmates lacked energy/had less precision.
@miniverse__.-sl2fh Why can't the rest dance better, when adjustment would be improvement in these cases? Why do idol who does it better receive hate? I think it's because he/she stoods out (in a good manner imo)
the energy and power being put in a choreography should match the genre of the dance. as a dancer you should know how to adjust to certain moves because not all of them requires so much power but sharpness.
bro i dont get why ppl hate ahyeon sm it seems to me like she's the one thats having most fun on stage and its good??? and it's actually normal to overdance when ur caught up in the joy of performing 😥
I have noticed only female idols get roped in these "lazy dancing/ over dancing" hate chains. In a lot of male groups (even my favourites) I've seen one member always being higher in energy than others, usually the main dancer, but there the fans are like 'Oh hE sOo sExY, pASsioNaTe, EneRGetIC😍', or if he's dancing casually then 'aW hE's sO cUTe' or 'gUys he'S jUST tIRed yOu kNoW.."
Ok but comparing Ahyeon to the least energetic dancer of the group can kinda show how pharita wasn’t dancing 100%. It goes both ways. She shouldn’t have gotten hate for dancing with more precision
I think they didn't deserve All of that hate , they are just powerful and Amazing , plus they look like they are enjoying so I don't understand why they being hated
Ngl i never understood the term overdancing because welp they're just dancing with a lot of energy and that's a good thing. But in the case of Ahyeon, i don't think it's a good thing at all. The fact that it doesn't suit this specific song aside, it would have been AMAZING if she gave these performances as a soloist, but she isn't a soloist. She is just one of the many other members in her group, and sometimes it looks like she's not even making the same movements as the others. I didn't realize how bad it was until I saw her dance next to her members, but I don't think that it's a good idea to do that when you're in a group, since there's something called team work and all. Instead of seeing her talent when she does that people only see the fact that she stands out so much she looks like a "fool" (not as an insult but in the sense where everyone else is synchro but she looks like she's doing something completely different). It's just as bad as someone dancing lazily and messing up the team synchronisation. It's very impressive and her passion is endeering, but what comes first is their unity as a group (because i'm pretty sure that everyone else in the group could give as much energy).
Oh my goshhhh I cannot understand haters these days. They literally find anything to hate about. EVERY IDOL WHO "OVERDANCED" IN THIS VIDEO JUST HAS A DIFFERENT DANCING STYLE. Like Ahyeon for example, she's naturally a good dancer because she enhances her moves with pops here and there. And that's just how she dances! If she had overdanced then the choreographer could've made an adjustment either to Ahyeon or the other members (polishing the dance). Get a life y'all.
I mean…only one of them I get and if that person is a dancer, it’s likely just nature. And ironically no hate from most groups, because they don’t show I’d they are obviously singing live (outside Le Sserafim).
energetic, detailed, and overdanced are different things. what kyujin does is be energetic and enjoy the performance, what yujin does is detail movements, and what ahyeon did was just overdancing, no hate but it's not a good thing to do, as a group it's supposed to perform in sync and aligned
I think every idol who gives energy in a dance is a icon, not going to say it's over dancing? Like what's over dancing? It's just giving more energy to the dance and show your fans how good of a dancer you are, not outshining not trying to get attention, it's just energy and I love it
Many people say idols "overdance" but the only thing I see is that those idols put more energy, and that they enjoy themselves a lot more so that's why they dance more freely and at the same time strongly.

What the heck We love Kickjin, don't make people misunderstand Yujin is praised for her moves
They hated ahyeon for overdancing now they are hating her for lazydancing i think so they can't sleep without hating idols ex: ahyeon ,jennie ,yujin
Heaven forbid they get a dance where they can thrust, they will overdo it so bad and just get praise for it 😭😭
This. And the term doesn’t even exist.
@@tehblackfeline1910 Male idols definitely do… San, Hyunjin, sometimes even Heeseung, and many others
I agree women idols get treated differently sometimes than men, but this one isn't one of the case you know. Even men get criticized actually, maybe you just don't dig enough.
I literally remember some comment in youtube and twitter that said "these days boy groups look more like possessed by devil rather than properly dancing"
this is so so SO real!!
You guys should understand that a good dance is with right amount of energy, not overdance it, or underdance, to deliver what the song wants, you requires to being moderate and considering how to executing a dance routine correctly
At this point haters doesn't have a life.
It’s ridiculous, let them be. People are just mad cuz they can’t dance👀 and kyujin will forever be iconic for hype boy ❤
Ahyeon is just enjoying her job😭, and kyujin just dances like that, it's her style, and yujin got praised for it
Lazy dancing: hate
Energetic dancing: hate
No fairness in the loop industry
If i am being honest, Ahyeon responded to the beat perfectly.
EXACTLY
Fr
They're litterally trying their best and having fun
Kyujin is too cute to be hated😭
i loved it when ahyeon 'overdances', it was the reason why i even checked out babymon content. i loved watching how passionate and performative she was, it was so evident that she loves her work. now she fits in but looks like she's lost her passion and wings it, i just don't watch it anymore sadly.
I think people need to realize that giving a good performance is a TEAM effort. So when one person gives too much energy, it doesn't make the whole group look good in terms of dancing. It's totally okay to have a lot of energy and sharpness but it's more better for a solo part.
and yes this is mostly directed towards Ahyeon
Do you guys say this about male idols? I can name 2 male idols who over dance causing the group to look messy and out of sync but they are praised for it
@@8luvbug well, I'm not a big fan of bg's so I don't know anyone...but yes this applies to anyone in a group👍
@@8luvbug If you mean San and Hyunjin, they got tons of hate for that? I guess you're not really in boy group circles, so you don't know
@@raerohan4241 Tons of hate? Those 2 are labeled as 2 of the best 4th Gen male idol dancers despite that
ahyeon just popping the beat bro
She looked like she was having a seizure
Thats what im saying bro she was being creative and fit the dance more
I know ahyeon will be here 😭😭
They didn't deserve this hate 😭😭
The key is to give same energy as the rest of your group, to keep the energy consistent throughout the group. When people watch, they are expecting harmony and dancing lazier or with more energy than your team members would make you stick out and which makes the group performance look inconsistent and not synchronized, as if they don't have group practice sessions.
except if yujin toned her energy down ive would be 30x more boring to watch 😭
it's actually the opposite in group dances. you match the energy of the ones actually putting their backs into it, not the ones dampening the choreo.
But the baddie step was suppose to be powerful watch the og version made by choreographers the rest of them toned it down because many idol have a tendency to put less energy in dancing as thry need to sing too but others can do it easily
@@chancellorchandler that would depend on the song actually but still harmony is important bc nobody wants to see the lazy/hyper dancer sticking out.
@@chancellorchandler No. If someone is overdoing it for the concept (which Ahyeon absolutely was, the song wasn't that high-energy and was meant to be more elegant), then matching the energy would make the dance not fit the song
Thats not over dancing....
That's called body control ❤
Overdancing is the complete opposite of body control tho
@@Isa-yj5op i ment for ahyeon
@@Isa-yj5op well a lot of the time what people call “overdancing” is just executing with energy 😭
@@horizonkyun7203 yeaa
@@xthetic_skyyno, ahyeon was valid, like if this is something fans have to point out multiple times with different choreography’s she’s doing something wrong
Overdancing ❌
Being a professional ✅
You hate if they don’t dance enough you hate if they dance too much…..why ……..they are perfect just the way they are❤❤❤
Ahyeon is dancing happily and she is so energetic she just become excited in concerts in my opinion💃👑💗
They are not overdancing. Most of these idols have a dance technique that is above the typical 'idol dance', and as most fans are not used to it they think there is an overdancing.
Actually, this how idol SHOULD dance. Powerfull, energetic and doing sharp move
No, dancing isn't just about power, energy and sharpness. You should have to know when to use those 3 because some songs doesn't require too much power. There are songs that needs fluidity and minimal power. You need to balance your moves especially when dancing with a group.
U obviously don’t know how to dance
It’s annoying how idols give their all to show their amazing dancing capabilities and it is seen in such a negative light. They all look great doing the dances. We should be paying attention to their talent!!!
The background song is the song that I just sang repeatedly but only the first part😅
I am a dancer and I can say that this isn't overdancing. They are just adding character to the dance, which is really rare to see because no everybody has this kind of talent. I hope they still dance like this because it's way more cool.
They one who over danced hype bou was jaywhypee
💀✊
No he danced well for someone his age. You guys just like to pick on him because he's unconventional in everything he does and doesn't care what others think
@8luvbug I respect the dude, he’s amazing but sometimes he does too much 💀
Yall are weird the girls are doing so well tf
So people hate the underdancing and now people hate the overdancing! Honestly I love seeing overdancing because you can see they put their soul and engery into the dance(not saying under dancing they aren’t but you see it more with overdancing)
yujin went viral for the hip wdym 😭😭 she ate it uppp i never saw any hate from it
I have been a dancer for over 8 years and I have a speaking position.
When they dance perfectly and still get complaining 😂 I wish I could dance like Ahyeon ❤
I think its their own style ,not a big deal
They're just really good dancers and have great stage presence, and people are just jealous because in their minds it affects their favs. But the truth is that every Idol is good at what they do.
When they can't dance people said they are lazy dancers
When they dance powerfully people say they are to much please give them some love😢
These people would not even stand a chance at a musical theatre audition 💀
They always hate female members who over-dance, but they love male idols who over-dance. Look at that double standard. It's really sad.
Stop dragging male idols they have much more loyal fans than females
I think yunjn and kyujin did really well in those pre formances.
This is not fair guys....
When they don't dance with that much energy, they are hated for lazy dancing but when they dance with energy then also they are again hated for overdancing.
Plz k pop companies our shining stars are receiving hate for breathing also 😔 🙏
Oh, so I see the pattern: "fans" can't stand an idol who dances better than their faves (in the same group). Interesting... 😂😂😂
Ahyeon is always over doing what a joke 😂 haters always gonna bark kpop idols gonna rock ❤
Ahyeon doesn't even looks "un-coordinated" at all while dancing that step to me, in comparison to Pharita as well.
Idk what's with these people
the energy and power being put in a choreography should match the genre of the dance. as a dancer you should know how to adjust to certain moves because not all of them requires so much power but sharpness.
bro i dont get why ppl hate ahyeon sm it seems to me like she's the one thats having most fun on stage and its good??? and it's actually normal to overdance when ur caught up in the joy of performing 😥
I have noticed only female idols get roped in these "lazy dancing/ over dancing" hate chains.
In a lot of male groups (even my favourites) I've seen one member always being higher in energy than others, usually the main dancer, but there the fans are like 'Oh hE sOo sExY, pASsioNaTe, EneRGetIC😍',
or if he's dancing casually then 'aW hE's sO cUTe' or 'gUys he'S jUST tIRed yOu kNoW.."
Ok but comparing Ahyeon to the least energetic dancer of the group can kinda show how pharita wasn’t dancing 100%. It goes both ways. She shouldn’t have gotten hate for dancing with more precision
Pharita was perfectly synchronised
I think they didn't deserve All of that hate , they are just powerful and Amazing , plus they look like they are enjoying so I don't understand why they being hated
no matter what ahyeon slay as always😂🔥🔥
I don't know why Hype boy fits so well with kyujin 😭❤
unpopular opinion: ahyeon shouldnt have been hated for that. all the members shoulda stepped up to her level🤷🏻♂️
Kyunjin don't overdance she's a good dancer with a lot of energy ( with Ahyeon and Yujin ) that is her skill
energetic, detailed, and overdanced are different things. what kyujin does is be energetic and enjoy the performance, what yujin does is detail movements, and what ahyeon did was just overdancing, no hate but it's not a good thing to do, as a group it's supposed to perform in sync and aligned
I think every idol who gives energy in a dance is a icon, not going to say it's over dancing? Like what's over dancing? It's just giving more energy to the dance and show your fans how good of a dancer you are, not outshining not trying to get attention, it's just energy and I love it
overdancing is alright but i think whatever makes it seem bad is that you can go too fast if you are too hyped and the dance will be seen unsynced
Many people say idols "overdance" but the only thing I see is that those idols put more energy, and that they enjoy themselves a lot more so that's why they dance more freely and at the same time strongly.
Ahyeon is such a powerful dancer so why they hated 😢
