Something about Hitachi Boom Box's that was so cool. I guess a lot of 'lower tier' brands were at that time (Sanyo and Toshiba spring to mind) too though. I had a few regular non component ones but remember this in stores and brochures. Gotta respect the 'Made in Japan' badge ✊
