I have the same bike 2017 Altera 500. But I had the limiter taken out of mine (it isn’t that hard to do). I’ve had mine going 106kmh and still climbing
We were ice fishing before this ride and when we drilled the holes the thickness was about 2 feet which we know is way more than enough for a atv or car but you can generally tell by how many people, atvs, snowmobiles and cars are already on the ice if it’s safe for you to bring a machine on

hey! I have the 550 Alterra TRV 2017,it has a limiter of 60kph. Can you briefly explain how to take the limiter off please?

I get about 48mph max on my alterra 400 but 44 with the big cobra windshield in place

Just found out the atv is actually electronically limited to 84 km/h

Hey do you check the thickness of the ice personally? If not how do you know when it is safe to ride on? Currently enjoying 95 degree SC heat.

52 mph thats like a honda foreman 500
