When you were talking about Arsenal midfielders you didn't even mention Havertz. I'm confused by the lack of attention he's getting by the FPL community. He's not a minutes risk as some believe, he's the direct replacement for Xhaka (left sided AM) and can even play in any of the front three positions too. The only legitimate concern would be worrying about his performances because we have no data yet on him playing in an Arsenal shirt in the Premier League. However, he's doing just as well as any other Arsenal mid in pre season and crucially, he's the cheapest out of all of them. Why have Odegaard when you can have the exact same player just playing on the left? Every year, I tend to be a very conservative manager who picks template players but I strongly believe Havertz is the most overlooked player right now and I'm perfectly happy to pick him despite being a differential

On top of that, I would not be comfortable saying he can play the LW role, nor is he immediately nailed in the team in his main position at this point in time compared to Odegaard on the RCM when we talk about minutes. Reading into pre-season goals is insignificant data imo, it's too small and too irrelevant a piece of sample size based on differing levels of competition and how vastly different teams approach pre-season games. I am not saying he is horrific, however - because you correctly identify there is a great price to him so I applaud you if you want to go there

I’ll hold my hands up and say that immediately makes him a much better option in my head if Arteta is open to it - so credits to you for thinking ahead. That's a good call with Odegaard over Martinelli. Odegaard played almost 400 minutes more than Martinelli last season. I think the gap will only be higher, given new refereeing guidelines. Odegaard is an asset who should play ~15 mins more than Martinelli on average, which is a lot.

I prefer to have good sure options than a benching headache
@@khaledbed It's more about budget though. We've never had such cheap access to a wide variety of good quality defenders, so it's not just about total points of individual players (e.g. defenders), but how much you're getting inside your team for the 100 budget.
