Hi Jason, we will definitely grow it again b/c it's yummy, very prolific (still picking fruit), & disease resistant. However, they do have a tendency to split if left on the vine too long or after rain. Also, they aren't much bigger than cherry tomatoes, just shaped differently. Hope that helps answer your questions. What's your favorite tomato to grow?
Any guesses on the mystery tomato? Do you have a favorite tomato? We're having fun with the many varieties we're growing this year. We're still learning this new growing zone, 7b and have already found new favorites.
This was so interesting to see all the varieties of tomatoes! Funny how the pineapple tomato kind of looked like it had a pineapple texture. You definitely got your lycopene and flavonoids in for the day, lol. So happy to see your garden doing so well. That sunflower is so perfect I thought it was fake! 😀😂
Thanks for stopping by Sheri. It's always fun to hear from you. The sunflower was gorgeous and I'm looking forward to hopefully growing some next year if the Lord is willing. Is your garden still in full bloom?
@@ggintennessee My garden went down hill in a hurry in early June to high temps, drought and bug pressure. :( I just replanted a few things, so hopefully I'll be feeling garden-rich by early September.
I’m not a big tomato eater! I’ll eat the Roma tomatoes if they aren’t mushy but that’s because it’s what I grew up on, lol. I wouldn’t have a clue what the mystery tomato would be😂
@@ggintennessee Not really - I have my gold Standards, Krim, BKX, Virginia Sweets, Brandywine Sudduth, White Tomesol - every year seems different... I have others that are great but I do seem to gravitate to blacks/purples.
@@karunald So true, each year can be so different! Thanks so much for sharing your gold standards. Krim is one of our all time favorites as well. Never tried Virginia Sweets or White Tomesol, may give those a try next year.
regarding he spitfire, how did the plant grow; was it disease prone or the fruit crack/split? Would you grow it again?

No mushy tomato's for us either! They become sauce, juice, or something else. Thanks for stopping by, hope you're having a wonderful weekend so far.
@@ggintennessee a good way to use mushy tomatoes! I’m having a somewhat good weekend lol. I hope you’re having a good weekend as well!🤍
I'll never understand why anyone likes Dr Wyches
Ha Ha! They definitely are one of my least favorite. Do you have a favorite tomato?
