I work in oil and gas and honestly it looks like such a blast operating in the wacky world of logging. The equipment is so unique, and who doesn't love giant claws and 4ft saw blades?
Logging equipment during the winter is some serious business, when loggers don't play around taking breaks for winter is making a statement. Nothing sounds more terrifying than chains ⛓ clinking at 4am in the dark out in godfuck knowhowere. Reminds me of some Montana operations. Great video, thx bud
Once you go logging it becomes all consuming. Makes dirt work seem bland and boring. You haven't lived until you put a skidder or buncher up the side of a mountain so steep you get dizzy looking down.
I notice this good size log compay working down the road and the have a mazive cat excavator with bucket and thumb looks just like normal cat exavator. Any one uses for dirt but it has a tall squir cab like the bunchers is their ia difernce between the cabs i was thinking the forestry cabs must be stronger only thing i can think it looks just like my friends cat excavator except the cab is squar. And about 4'taller
That is a Cat swing machine, purpose built for forest duty. Cab is 4 feet taller for visibility, square because it has to be a lot stronger and they make them bigger inside as well since there is no great need for being compact like an excavator.

Man it sounds like such an awesome world to be in. Kings of the forest.
This guy was hauling some realy good turns good logers right hear
These are what separate the Men from the boys!💪🏻
Sure is awesome, watching it cut through a tree and then lift it away is great stuff.
Badass, looks like they need another processer
Nice video.
That skidder is one of the biggest you can get .. couple grapple fulls with that bad boy, you have a load of tree length lol
Pretty much the biggest 4 tire machine made. 948L Deere is real close in size. The Tigercat 635 bogie is the biggest you can buy.
@@oldtimerf7602 Yeah the Tigercat 635 is in a class of it's own
I'm from Brazil, stop by the amarildo gobes channel to meet, I work in the forestry branch too

Yeah, pretty soon I'm gunna take a skidder for a rip and can't wait
Did you see any forestry equipment sold by Brandt Tractor?
No but I really want to
John deere can't compete with tigercat !, for forestry anyway
