This was cute! Both of my grandparents use smart phones and emoji's, it's quite hilarious! But they're also a bit younger, in their 70's. Your grandma is really cute! It's always good to hear daily casual conversations, reminds me of home (Hawaii) even though I can't understand. Haha

+Marc Hijack way back in the day we called midori ao, so with certain things like traffic lights we still call green ao. but maybe, traffic lights used to be more blue... not sure lol

I'm comfortable either way, but lately, because I use Japanese way more than I do English, it takes me awhile for my brain to switch over. Also because the way you structure your sentences and the way you get to the objective of a story is so different in the two languages, once you get used to one too much, you start having trouble with the other. It all comes back once I start talking to someone in English for awhile though :)

こちらの動画は3年前みたいですが、楽しく拝見させて頂きました。日本には17年帰っていないので、駅で切符の買い方に吃驚しました。駅ビルの中のお店のスイーツ、見入ってしまった程！日本のケーキはやはり美味しいですよね。 Bellevueにも日本のケーキ屋さんあるけど、日本だとデパ地下でお店が選べるし、やっぱり日本はいいですね。最近、宇和島屋(Bellevue)に中にヨックモック等の日本のスイーツが購入できるブースができ、日本に帰らなくても味わう事が出来ますが、やはり日本だとお店が一杯あっていいですね。茅ヶ崎や湘南には30年以上前にサーフィンで遊んだ懐かしい思い出があります。そんな茅ヶ崎にご親戚がいらっしゃるなんていいですね。日本が懐かしく感じる動画でした。有難うございます。

I'm just curious Chika-san: I know you're bilingual but be able to speak Japanese and English, when do you feel more comfortable?
I'm comfortable either way, but lately, because I use Japanese way more than I do English, it takes me awhile for my brain to switch over.
