Wow. I was convinced my water line had frozen on my 7 year old refrigerator. I put in a little washer like above and it made all the difference in the world! Thank you so much.

I had a feeling there was a problem with the water filter housing, but this just saved me $82 on a new housing. And the $200 that was about to be spent to the repair guy in 3 days. Thanks 🙏.
I can't thank you enough! Your suggestion solved my problem with the filtered water outflow on our KitchenAid Model UKF8001-200. All the flexible washers I had on hand were too thick, so I cut one out of a flexible sour cream lid. I was skeptical, but your suggestion did the trick - can't believe how much volume had been restored. Thanks again ~
This is genius! Thank you so much!! One further conundrum though- we added the washer, and our pressure initially improved but after a couple of seconds it slowed down again. Leak in a connection along the line maybe? All I can think of that would affect the pressure midstream like that. Any advice?
Thanks! Always figured it was a contact problem. I’ve replaced the water head before but it still worked better without a filter. Going to try this if I can find a washer

I have a similar issue and will give this a try. One exception is that after I click dispenser to get water and move the cup away, the water continues to flow for a second or two, rather than just turning off. Any ideas on why this might be?

It’s there to depress the small pin that overtime is not depressed, causing the slow water flow. By adding the washer, it helps press that pin further so the water flow becomes better.
The water comes out of those 2 white nubs to enter the filter. I wonder if you are just blocking the filter which makes water flow increase. I just made the hole in the center a few drill bits bigger and it increased the flow.
No it’s not blocking the filter. It’s only pushing the pins that open the water flow. The pins are there to block water when filter is removed otherwise water will keep flowing. When filter is in it pushes the pin and let the water to enter filter and then return so if the pins are not fully pressed it will allow slow water enter to filter making water flow slow. That’s why adding washer increases the flow
I replaced the filter with a bypass plug and there was a significant difference in the water pressure. I change my filter (I get the manufacturer OEM filter) every 5-6 months and the pressure is always the same. I’ll check on the pump to see on what I can do.
I used a hose washer, is that not correct anyone? I did not see a huge differecne if at all, I think my Whirlpool is just slower, but looks the exact same as the video. Maybe I should try a neoprene washer or something else? Thanks for the tip!!!

Did you end up trying it? What size did you get? Trying to avoid going to Lowes and getting one of every size cause I don't know what I'm looking for 😅
I have a Kenmore refrigerator the water dispenser all of a sudden started running real slow I replace the water filter but it’s still doing the same thing what can I check for

I would not recommend messing with filter contacts that could possibly create flooding in your kitchen. Low pressure, if filter is fine is usually caused by bad water valve at the back of the fridge where it incoming water line is connected. It’s about a $50-$70 part and takes 15 minutes to change.

You are the man! I wasted $100 having an appliance repair guy come and he didn't know what was happening. Thank you for this awesome video!
😂
I just happened to have one laying around and tried it, now it doesn’t take 5 minutes for 2 cups of water! Thank you so much!

What’s the size of the washer?

Can't thank you enough for this fix. Worked perfectly. You da man!
This is really helpful. It worked with washer. Thank You!

Thank you so much!! I have been dealing with low water pressure for years!!
We went to Home Depot and bought "HOSE WASHERS THAT FIT 5/8" HOSE SIZE" 10 IN A PACK FOR UNDER $4.00.
Dang, I got so excited after watching this. Unfortunately my filter has 2 outies instead of the fridge having one like yours. Not sure what to do :(

There are some videos in description that you can check out. Another problem could be the pump that dispense water
Thanks! Always figured it was a contact problem. I’ve replaced the water head before but it still worked better without a filter. Going to try this if I can find a washer
Yes either this or your valve unit under the fridge that disperse water to ice maker and water dispenser is bad.
Life changing! Thank you!
You are a lifesaver!!

Any ideas what this might be
It works! I have a filter underneath. Thank you
Filter underneath where?
Thank you I just mess it and twist and now it’s good
Thank you for the video. I wish I saw it before buying and throwing away perfectly good filters.
Glad it helped
you are life saver thanks
I have a related issue. My dispenser says it’s dispensing 8oz but actually only dispensing 6oz. Is there a solution for that?
Thank you! It worked on my frig!!! 👍

So is the washer just for a better connection

What size is this washer? Can you provide any information? I’m struggling to find this size/shape
We went to Home Depot and bought "HOSE WASHERS THAT FIT 5/8" HOSE SIZE" 10 IN A PACK FOR UNDER $4.00..
My filter placement doesn’t have those white pins. Any ideas?
Then it’s your pump behind the fridge. Check other videos in description how to change that pump.

Refrigerator Water Dispenser Slow and Noisy - Easy Fix
th-cam.com/video/Wsjssk4QCFM/w-d-xo.html
It's probably the inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator easy to change and not expensive
thanks, but it is new and has done it since...
Thank you😊
You're welcome 😊
What size washer is that? Do you have a link for it at Home Depot?
Standard size washer. You can buy a few and try out but I literally grabbed it from my pile of spare washers lying around and it fit fine.
Did you end up trying it? What size did you get? Trying to avoid going to Lowes and getting one of every size cause I don't know what I'm looking for 😅

So what I did in this video and it should solve he issue
Check the inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator that's usually the culprit easy to fix and not expensive
It worked!

Na to t does not cause any flooding. Been doing these for years and not a single issue.
How to do it with Whirlpool??
Should be similar
I put the washer on mine, but it reduced the flow rate even more =\ Any ideas?
Then it could be your actuator motor in back of fridge. There is a video on that too on my channel. Check appliance playlist
You da man!!
Darn, I don't have that kind of filter system. Mine... 47 seconds to fill a 12 oz glass.
It's always done this.
My Kenmore looks nothing like that
It worked. Went to ACE and got a neoprene washer, problem fixed.
My fridge is brand new and it seems like it's taking forever
Should be covered under warranty if it’s brand new less then a year
Ummm..rubber water 😮
Bro it doesn’t work any better.
It could be the other issue. See the other video in description
Take “this” (blurriest worst part of video). What exactly is “this” ???
Huh?
