Block of balsa wood correct thickness, sanded on all sides to fit a card top and bottom is indistinguishable from a pack of cards! mArt.

3d print the base of the deck instead of gluing cards together. Then cover with the cards

Drill tiny holes thru the stack of cards and sew together with fine fishing line. Then glue a cord on top and bottom to hide threads. This also allows the stack to move a little more naturally.
