A Letter to Myself Right After My Son was Diagnosed Autistic

Welcome to Across the Spectrum. We have been filming 9 kids from Arizona and Massachusetts. We started following them shortly after diagnoses and will be following them up through adulthood.
I made this video 3 years ago when my son was 9, he's 12 now. Everything is still true in this and I still feel emotional when I watch it.
My son Henry was diagnosed autistic almost 10 years ago right before he turned 3. I remember all the emotions i was feeling, the sadness, being scared of the future. Wanting that crystal ball to tell me how Henry would grow up, if he would talk.
No one can predict the future but I hope videos like mine can help ease parents fear. Henry is still not talking using his own voice but he's communicating so well using his AAC Device.
