Thank You for doing this! Gonna share this link in our newsletter. The best adventure was actually going to the dentist today with my Super Pup Service Dog in training. I had to get a new crown and my pup sat through the entire thing on my lap watching the dentist & assistant while they worked.
Still waiting for that best adventure, lol. I'm retired and camp and travel a lot. My girl doesn't seem too interested in my adventures. She's perfectly content in staying home and guarding our home from the delivery people. Anyway, slowly trying to get her used to going places with me. Thanks again Doc for all your video's.
One of my many adventures with Goose is right down our street. We live in a suburb of Houston, Texas called Katy. Lots of homes, schools, kids, many relocate just for the schools. Goose is a year 1/2 now. Back home in Ohio there would be a ton of places to take him unlike here. Last spring during the bunny season I wanted to watch him hunt and run for towards the bunny’s off lead. Our school has an enclosed area full of portables, playground equipment and hiding places. I would pack us up, backpack loaded with water & supplies, first aid supplies and we’d head on over to the school. 4:30-5am we arrived and to watch him run, hunt, play off lead was a beauty to witness. Watching him lock in, run and point at the bunnies was amazing. I took him that whole spring before school started. He has grown into a brilliant loving sensitive Britt so far. Many more adventures to come!
Such a great kit! We have a smaller one from a different company, and a Fido pro airlift because I don’t think I would be able to carry my dog normally if anything ever happened. Our best adventure (so far) was probably to Acadia National Park. We love hiking and walking in the wilderness, so it was up our alley! And my Emmy girl got to experience the ‘beach’ for the first time! 😊
Congratulations, you won the giveaway if you’d like it! Email me at animaldocrea@gmail.com and I’ll send it out to you. I’ll also be making a formal announcement of your winning on this weeks vlogmas so you know it’s legit! 🎉
Also Dewey beach every year for the golden jubilee! At one time over 400 goldens romping in the waves and on the beach. All to raise money for morris animal foundation. I don’t think you mentioned but we hike a lot and I always worry about snake bites. I read you should not give benedryl for snake bites. And not ever animal clinic has anti venom. Maybe you could talk about that Thanks!!
I treat LOTS of snake bites, I’ll add that to the educational series topics and it has snake bites in that first aid book that comes with the kit. You are correct in that antihistamines are contraindicated in snake bites. Another reason I’m not a fan unless you 100% know what you are treating.
Thank you so much for highlighting things link forcing water on our pets. "Swallowing" water is great, but "breathing" water, for a pet or anyone, is not. That is, unless your pet is a fish. 😉 Being sold as a dog specific kit, it would have been great if dog specific dosages would have been printed on the packets, rather than human dosages. This one seems like a no-brainer, given the targeted focus of the kit. Thanks for a great breakdown of this first aid kit.
You will not find any Benadryl doses listed on packages because it’s not an animal approved drug. Benadryl is actually off label for dogs and cats so it can’t be labeled as such I believe.
Amazing video. A lot of information that is useful for everyday situations, as well. I would hope the First Aid Handbook was written by a veterinarian! I did not know about the one time use only of hydrogen peroxide. I learn something new from you every video! Good advice on labeling the thermometer! LOL Happy Manic Monday!
I'm recently retired so planning all kinds of great adventures with my dog
Yep we have always had a
Bird dog ❤
Love the First Aid Kit!!!
Goose (Brittany) sends his love 💕

Just found you and subscribed. I’m currently building a first aid kit for my dog.
Welcome aboard. And good luck on the contest!
Can you please do a raw dog food brand review ❤❤❤
No, my oath to public health prevents me from doing so. You’ll have to discuss that with your personal vet.

Can you tell the thermometer thing I learned from experience.
@@AnimalDocRea HOLY CR**! (Literally) LOL Your sly smile did somewhat give it away!
11:37 - Any reason why our vet said to give a half a tablet of benadryl to our dog wgen he got itchy ears from potato starch?
Not sure.
@AnimalDocRea Thank you!
