Absolutely brilliant: fantastic that these wonderful locos are still in such great nick! Do Dawlish residents appreciate what they have, I wonder? An ancestor's cousins kept a boarding house on West Cliff in the 1860s and '70s. What they must have seen in the old days of broad gauge.
Thank you for posting this excellent compilation capturing such beauty. I'm dreading the possible changes along the King's Walk. If they are too drastic and severe and ruin this most historic picturesque and scenic route; I hope they will NOT use this horrific ( and I believe flawed ) design on the wall section from Dawlish towards Dawlish Warren. The only thing missing from this compilation is the beautiful views or the beach and waves from inside a train travelling along the wall section - my favourite part of the line travelling down to Torquay - so much so that Dawlish and Dawlish Warren became favourite holiday spots. Thanks again for posting ;-)
