- Community residents in Benin have embraced eco-friendly production methods by utilising banana tree fibre to create various items and clothing in the village of Akodeha, located in the commune of Come. Led by agricultural entrepreneur Cossi Djikou, members of the cooperative Africa Terroir are spearheading this sustainable initiative.

Very creative.
Love this, using NATURAL fibre is the way to go. Keep doing what's needed to be done to make progress and success will be your reward for the nation. One Love, One Heart, One Destiny
Excellent idea.of communities helping themselves and nature. The government NEED to support the effort of the people by making it possible to get electricity to them, those hard working people effort benefits the Benin economy.
Not when France have Benin and other french African countries paying colonial taxes and paying pennies for their natural resources.
Wonderfull rise up from western kolonialism❤🎉
Ase!
This is great.
Very creative. Make that money.
All they need is infrastructure
A generator
There is an interview - Ghana Ex-President and Wode Maya.
President said they need to build services and perhaps work with other countries on that, with the purpose that people can use tractors, generators, all other machinery that agriculture needs, it is a special and partially subsidized form of renting, and they will also maintain the machinery for the people, because this was always the difficulty for those who come from traditional culture, to learn to repair and maintain the tractors and pumps and everything.
Or solar panels.
Perfect!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Wonderful. It should be all African investors and entrepreneurs expanding this production to go pan-Africa and overseas. Good luck to this endeavour.
An admirable grind
Thanks you for sharing this
Don't worry, Banana Republic will be selling these fibers in their clothing for a fortune 😂. I HOPE These people have patented it.
They love to steal from the very people they accuse of having nothing.
This has been done in Tanzania. My mom is from Kagera and thry have been doing a lot of things with this like for ever
Making clothes, bags, hats, hair attachments and more from banana and plantain trees and rafia, is nothing new, Africans have been doing this for centuries, and colonisers looked down on it, discouraged the production, and made Africans reliant on imported clothes etc. But still they are used during traditional festivals, and nature worshippers wear them in traditional worship and practises. They are worn even today in some African countries, including Ghana, for certain traditional dances and rituals.
Glad to hear that! Asante for this information!
Colonizers didn’t want competition for their cotton imports. Sad.
Beautiful.. Africa leads the way ❤
I commend this brilliant enterprise, Love This!!!!!! May Yahuah almighty bless them.
It is so great to see this... going back to nature is our way forward...keep up the good work 💯✨✨✨✊🏾
God bless the people of Benin. They are an inspiration to people in less privileged parts of the world.

❤🎉💪👍
Bravo
banana and plantain fibre we just take bunch of plantain or banana then cut the tree down and prepare for regrowth nice to see all this amazing use in our Africa
❤
That is awesome
Asian countries have been using banana fibers for clothing and other uses for ages !
It is done in Philippines 🇵🇭 for centuries.
❤❤❤❤❤.
India had used this to create sanitary pads
We were doing that for centuries by using the false banana tree. The fibers can be used to make clothes and the removable flesh will be fermented into food.
Banana skins also make a great natural organic fertiliser.
I thought it was going to be about them transforming fibers into hair 😂😂
So they can nationalise this industry for natural high level vibrational materials
In rwanda they transform them into weman cortex
How can we support or invest
How can we in america purchase the amanda popo?
You need resources? ❤Stop the interference with the z"Pipeline Project" and Benin gets 7million dollars a day❤ check your leader Talon❤
@@moustacheknight6243 damn right
This is great, but without it becoming a real business where it can be self sustaining and hire people and provide income so that they can provide for the villages and cities surrounding. It’s nothing more than a video. Where are the billionaires and millionaires to help these people have the necessary resources so that they can be self-sufficient?
Just because you can doesn't mean you should its the case here
@@mikemike5973 anything that economically benefits the people here is good! It has to uplift the people!
The government is watching the movie supporting external forces 🤔🤔
Incredible
In Uganda they use it to make hair extensions which better than synthetic extensions and humans hair
