*More suggestions to add to the workshop:* 1. Tool racks 2. Dummies for combat 3. A smelting furnace (idk if it will fit tho) 4. The roof could have glass in the center 5. The doorways that are on the sides (5:32) would work better on the corners since the castle walls are offset from the workshop walls (4:32).
Here’s a good vid idea. Tour each other (kan, squid and John) around everyone’s survival bases so you can see each others progress. Would be a cool video!
idea for the base 1: make the ceiling look like ikea's with spotlights 2: make a flat roof so you can land flying creations with a stair way down 3: make a tower on the flat roof like so scrapman see this.
Ok, just make the entire thing a giant tower that becomes 1 block smaller every floor until it’s a very small room that can detach and turn into a rocket.
TWO IDEAS. One: REplace the second wheel on the wall to a scrap wheel and second, Go paint hunting and for the roof have pipe pieces painted as wires. Flat roof btw.
Thats too easy. It should scan and copy a (simple) figure (4*4 blocks for example)....but maybe thats a better question to ask kan because i don't know how much scrapman is into that logic stuff :D.
You should make a part of the work shop for car experimentation, you could make a car that looks like it is still in the progress of being made. Or you could make like a show room, where you have every tier of every object and block.
For the roof you can try a folding mecanism and when it's day time you can have it open and when it's dark you can close it and that solves the lighting issue
Denis Arhire bruh common toast meant that at night u need light, so closing the roof is virtually useless, since you will need to put lights on it anyway. Why not just have a roof with lights lol
Please add a wave table in the shop for the old guys love then maybe like a small one above the craft boys in the middle so you can look at it wale you craft like so he sees
I whole-heartedly agree. The very first video I watched of his was his very first Piston Workshop video (before he called it that) because I was bored and decided to watch something random. So it's be like going back to the beginning for me. Plus, it just looks really nice.
You need to had a Terrace to that roof ! A place to sit , drink , enjoy and relax after a long day in the workshop ( Looking at the machine working on their own.. that must be exhausting ! )
For lifting the hammer place the piston one block off and place a block on the piston and connect it to hammer handle using a bearing which will just free float putting less stress on piston and making it smoother.
i like the sound of a dining hall above the workshop that seems cool and you can invite people to your world and tell them to go to the dining hall as a part of the tour
Some ideas: The Anvil hammer piston shouldn’t pause at zero length but at something like 4 or 5. In the middle of the press platform you should make a hole and put a suspension with a block ok top so it actually looks like the press is pressing something. Amazing video as always ScrapMan, excited for the next one
The press should have something in a suspension that is hidden underneath so wen the press goes down it looks like that thin ia being compressed 👇like so he see's it
You could add a cheminé with smth that blows air in it and animate it. Also for the roof, a french roof with wood every "..." Block to make it good looking. Amazing video too, as usual
I think the table should have a mounted vice / grip / clamp. Can get more of those recessed curved pieces and a pipe rod for the middle. You can also add drill press, lazer cutter, chizels, grindwheel, computer, mini bookshelves and a drawing table if you want some ideas. I remember these from mutt studies.
To set a certain blok to a chest (only works with stackable items btw) fill every slot with 1 blok and whenever you craft something and other chests are full it will go to its own chest and u can paint each one for its own thing and non-stackable items go to the closest chest and if u place craftbots next to each other the items will passthrough it and u can craft faster.and it will still be looped.also u can use curved vacuum pipes for curved wedges like so scrapman can see
It would look better during the day if you would put the spotlights on a button, so that you can turn them off during the day (to avoid the super bright light)!
Maybe make a kitchen with a double crafted fridge, a ofen, a double sink with a duckie, a fancy toilet or something and a big party-like dining hall on the second floor. By the way, I love the survival series very much and I have been following the series since the beginning (I am subscribed since about a year). I have started a TH-cam-Channel recently hoping to grow some day. It would make my day if you'd heart this or respond to this, whatever. :)
The name you're looking for is Mitre saw/chop saw. Now you need to make it so you can cut different angles 😆. Looks cool. What about a pillar drill? maybe some offset blocks to act like a drill bit?? Or even just a single row of blocks.
a really cool ceiling/floor could be the tree logs you used to make the wood car thing. It would make a really neat looking ceiling and a good floor for the second floor.
Scrapman idea for roof (if ur not planning on more floors) : Get some of those pieces that u put some for hank’s house And line up the sides of the roof with those and keep that hole in the middle and put some ropes (or rope looking stuff) hanging and connected from both sides of those pieces and since my english is bad asf heres a module so hopefully this makes sense First piece Second piece -----_ _----- \_. ._/ \__/ Rope And ps maybe add some lights on the rope thing so it gives that old times market vibe
for the roof how about building smaller roofs around every wall and leave it kinda like an aopen area in the middle,or just glass something like this casepractice.ro/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/case-cu-gradina-interioara-Interior-courtyard-houses-13.jpg
upstairs you should put three rooms in it a bed room, a dining room with a window that looks out the sea and your glow bug farm ,and most important of all a bathroom ps love your vids
for the ceiling in the workshop you should use some metal girders for structural supports and ceiling girders, and some of the fat yellow pipes for ducts (both found at warehouse) find some pictures for some irl warehouses
You could do like smaller castles or towers in the middle of the lake and put different things in them, like a zoo/museum for example or something like that, or rooms and a dinner room and then connect all with bridges so it doesn't lag that much. I don't know if I explained well. Hi from Spain!
you should make the hydraulic press be crushing something, like a metal block. when the press is up the block is fully up but then as the press is down it crunches a bit, when the press moves up the block is mostly compressed. this can be done via a piston that is hidden in the base of the press. you could also make it so that the block is slowly pressed flat over multiple presses by the hydraulic press. Just a suggestion you don't have to take it, i really enjoy your videos and always try to watch them.
I think for that sawblade cutting thing, you should put it against the wall on the corner right beside the craft bots and the refineries because it's in a really odd place, to close off the entrance to add some variety and i also feel like there's just too many openings.
The saw you built is a chop saw. More tools: Drill press Table Saw Lathe I love the power hammer; reducing the counterweight would make it fall faster which would look more accurate I think. Was also wondering if you put a metal block under the hammer (unattached) if it would spark...
You could do the ceiling out of glass and tier 2 or 3 metal in a grid patern. That way, you would be able to see your workshop through the floor of your dinning room.
Above the workshop, make a helipad for you to land your future hovercraft on, and also a chimney with a fireplace under it in the workshop with embers in it. And maybe right next to the anvil.
Use "Generator Coil Segments" and "Generator Coil Corners" from warehouse roofs to build a border to your roof, then do the top with beams and glass skylights.
one idea for how to make the craftbot loop more visually appealing and feel like they are set into a wall without sacrificing the accessibility of it could be to use the chests as said wall, by having them loop around over the tops of the craftbots instead of just under them. this might require the use of a few tubes to make the turns look nice, but it would probably look even cooler than it does now, just by turning the slab shape into more of a ring shape that hugs the sides of the system a bit more.
The top roof should be a stepped roof (instead of using bearing for an angled roof) so it has a "sloped" appearance. Going off some other suggestions, make a raised section that is flat to land flying creation on. Then that means you need to make a flying creation to land on it!
Hello, Scrap Man! The hydralic press should have some piston with a block on the bottom, and whe the presser comes down the pisto with the block ontop should go down, so it looks like it's getting pressed!
I have a suggestion for the stabilized mug. Since it isn't an SM mug, I think you should paint it red so at least it isn't blue. Another thing, I doubt that Marvel would allow this, but it would be epic if you could make a mini Iron Man suit in the workshop.
I started watching this episode and when you said that you want to keep your chest linked to you craft/refinery boys you can use the clear tubes to connect these so you could have your chests on one wall and use the tubs to connect the craft bot to another wall so all your resources are still together and you can do loop crafting I hope this was help and yes I know this is not grammatically correct
Hey Scrapman, if you have made an anvil, it has to have a purpose. An anvil doesn't mean anything without a crucible, so I suggest making a crucible with pistons to animate the fire, and have a small chimney.
For more animation, alter the hydraulic press in to a butterfly press, that way the top spins 1 way as it presses down, and the other way to raise it up
*More suggestions to add to the workshop:*
1. Tool racks
2. Dummies for combat
3. A smelting furnace (idk if it will fit tho)
4. The roof could have glass in the center
5. The doorways that are on the sides (5:32) would work better on the corners since the castle walls are offset from the workshop walls (4:32).

Hey Scrapman, if you have made an anvil, it has to have a purpose. An anvil doesn't mean anything without a crucible, so I suggest making a crucible with pistons to animate the fire, and have a small chimney.

For more animation, alter the hydraulic press in to a butterfly press, that way the top spins 1 way as it presses down, and the other way to raise it up
You should craft some beams and make an industrial-style ceiling with the stairs leading up to the second (or third?) story on the outside!
