- In this video Judy and I get to work lining the walls and ceiling of the shed cabin. We used Easy VJ for the walls which is said to be treated for termite resistance and it's pretty easy to fit. The ceiling is corrugated roofing (Surf Mist colour). We chose the roof sheeting as it suits a shed build and again it's easy to install and relatively maintenance free.
We hope you enjoy the video - Love to see you in the comments.

Seeing this video drop you’ve just made my September! 👌🏻you speak however you please! 😂
Hear hear
Very kind, thanks Brendan!
Agreed!
Yep 👍
Watching this partnership achieve great things is both heartwarming and inspirational to my wife and I. I don't think we'll build a shed home together, but the country life is calling :)
Thanks James! Yes the country life is a needed reset for us.
I so enjoy your videos. Your workmanship is top notch and I love how you two are both working together on this future home. You are down to earth solid folks which I find very refreshing.
Much appreciated Casey!!
Guess it's human nature we all feel others should speak just like we do. I always giggle when I watch Mighty Car Mods and hear Choosday instead of Tuesday. Language is fascinating!
You Chewb ;) All the best Andrew!
Hello Judy and Scott, I am shocked and stunned at how far you have come in such a short time. Congratulations to you both on getting this far so quickly. It is lovely to see your progress and watch you on your journey. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us all. Rob The Wayward Woodworker hit the nail on the head. Take no notice of the complainers on how you either do things or say things. Keep up the great work my friend, Looking forward to the next instalment. Love and Respect from North London UK xxx
Huge thanks Trev! For us the build seems to be taking ages, but we can now see the finish line at last. I only added my little part about how I talk for a bit of extra flavour :) All the very best Trev!
I love your videos. It's great to watch someone who knows what they're doing and doing it with good humour and skill.
Huge thanks Greg!
Too funny “do you deserve it” your wife is lovely and you my friend rock at everything you do. Thanks for sharing……..😎
Very kind, thank you Patrick!
For the first time on TH-cam, I've seen a chainsaw being started the way I got taught.
Place look absolutely amazing, oh and 'Hi ' from NZ
Thank you Craig! A few years ago a fella showed me the right way to start a chain saw :) before that I was none the wiser.
Our three boys are all grown up and living in their own homes so you'd think that I'd get to lick out the bowl too. But, somehow, there always seems to be at least one of them here at bowl licking time. Progress is amazing guys. Wendy cracked up when I showed her Judy's upside-down feet holding the corrugated iron up.
Cheers Doug! Yes that shot of Judy needed careful consideration :)
Only one way to eat an elephant Scotty: One bite at a time. That is solid progress, looks good.
That's what I was telling Judy just yesterday. She said she'd rather eat a cow :) Thanks Bruno!
now I'm starting to think that Jude has the better wit.
Shaping up! You two make a great team! Its always a joy to get these vids in my notifications folder. See ya soon, Scott.
Much appreciated Tom!
Very cool to see it coming together. The loft looks a little more real now! And that ceiling looks great. What you really need, is a Canadian to show you how to do that insulation! LOL Also, you pronounce it however you please, everyone in the comments can bugger off! Cheers, Scott.
Totally agree Rob! Cheers!
Ohh mate, envy that rainfall, we haven't seen anything more than a flock of magpies piddle on us for months now.
I hear it's dry down south. Last few months has been dry here too.
I like you guys even more now that I heard you playing Prince. :) 🥰
:) He was a Legend! Thanks
You and Allen Millyard and cupcakes... *shakes head* I think it's an addiction. :)
True
@@ScottTurnerformeindustrious Might be a support group for us somewhere ... :)
Don't think I've ever been this late to watch one of your videos! Awesome video
So glad you're still watching Peter :) Thank you!
Bloody kids. You let them loose and they muck up. Ya pair of dag's. Would never of thought to line the ceiling with Corry but it looks damn fine. Top job fella's
After spending a couple of days by-rocking and plastering we are so glad we used the corro for the ceiling. Put it up and its done. Cheers!
Never thought I would ever hear you say that "rain was welcome" ever again
Can't complain I guess, but by golly by gosh the sunshine has been great this week!
Love how it’s looking so far!!
Thank you!
It's good to see you guys working together... Greetings and love from Argentina!
Thank you Javier!
This is the video I’ve been waiting for. The place looks great.
Well done guys.
Thank you Dan!
I found your channel by accident and it is a complete delight. I'm amazed people would hang shit on someone who's having a red hot go, but there you have it. I love watching you problem solve in real time, with all the tips and tricks and discoveries woven into the story. The video editing is very well done. All power to you both. And I wouldn't worry about Nala's grief around the partial disembowlment of her toy. She was keen to finish the job. :-))
Glad you found the channel David. Plenty of adventures to come. Nala is still playing with that toy ;) Also thank you for the encouragement!
Doing a great job Scott. Made my day seeing this episode come up. Continue with the great work.
Wonderful! Thanks James!!
A GOOD Team does GOOD work! Thanks for the visit.
Thank you!
Good to see you put in additional insulation...i did similar with the reasoning that insulation is pretty cheap and makes a massive difference to the feel and efficiency of the house...and if you have the space, why not! Looking really good, love the vdj paneling, great choice.
Thank you Matt! Yes definitely worth the relatively small cost and effort.
Thanks for the video! Its really coming along. Please give Nala some scratches for me.
Thank you! Scratches on their way and Nala says thanks!
Really wholesome content my friend, you both are good people!
Thanks!!!
LOOKS FANTASTIC GUYS‼️VERY COMFORTABLE ‼️ Vinny 🇺🇸
Many thanks Vinny!
Looking great guys, a massive job done. OMW Judy that nail gun accident could have been bad 😬. Thank goodness it wasn’t, scary stuff 😊
Thanks Jenni! Oh she's a worry :)
Great job! I like the ceiling. Well done👍🍻😁
Thanks Keith!
Thank you, me & my partner are building remote, we are still on foundation but wanted to say you & your wife are a complete inspiration when I comes to building & working together. Thank you again 😊
Glad we can be of some help James. Cheers and all the best for your build.
I'd say don't forget to have fun, but it seems you've got that covered. LOL!
Lots of hard work with a bit of fun in between :)
Wel done you two. Youre doing a fantastic job. Forget those who give you grief about your english. Just keep being yourselves.
Im totally Jealous of the off grid life you are forging ahead with 😁
All good with people having a go how I talk; just adding flavour to the video. Many thanks!
Keep em coming. Love your work.

You should have applied for Grand Designs Australia 😅. Great work Scott!
Heck no. Too fancy for me ;) Thank you!

Thanks Arnold!
I think you both are very fortunate in your life partner and being able to live your life in a way that is best for you all. Great job!
Thank you BLG! Yes, we think so too.
You two work well together. Thanks for the update - thumbs up.
Thanks again TCM!
Hi Mate, It's starting to look like a real home. Great
Thank you Leon!
Hey Scott I totally agree about painting. I’m sure if I chose being a painter as an apprenticeship, I would have pulled the pin after about an hour. Lining that cabin is when you’ll appreciate the time you took to have everything square. You and Jude are a great team, it looks awesome. That insulation is worth the effort👍 Cheers Pete
Painting wrecks my Chi. Yes Judy is the best off sider (she reads the comments ;). All the best Pete, cheers!
I love the way you both work together, awesome job all round
Thank you Paul!
Love that VJ board makes it so easy and quick. I don’t find any problem with the way you speak, mind you I do live in Brisbane, Qld lol
The VJ worked out great. North Queenslanders ;)
Great to see your progress. We thoroughly enjoy watching 😊
Thank you Anita!
It’s coming along nicely and you two working together is very entertaining 😂 I can’t wait for the next one!!!
Great to hear Warwick, thank you!
Amazing progress - It sure is an endless amount of work, but it is all worth it. 👍👍😎👍👍
Yes it never seems to end, but in a month or so most of it will be behind us and we can enjoy it. Thanks again!
Hi there Scott , I think some base moulding would look nice on those walls . You can forgo the crown moulding . Here in the states what your putting up for walls is called panelling . I think it looks very good what you're doing , you and your lady . Good seein' you again there Scott . I got you subscribed now . Be seein' ya !
Thank you so much Michael! Yes we will be putting on some base moulding in a few week after the floor is in.
Awesome video Scott 👍
Thank you!
Nice job guys 👍 I ❤️ the work.
Thank you!
Looking great Scott! That ceiling is an unexpected choice, yet looks perfect. BTW, I say insoolayshon, so don't worry about how you say things!
Thank you Dave! For the ceiling we originally liked plywood, however $$ and it does put a lot of extra weight on the upper structure, so we went corro. We are happy all the same.
Good morning, you are amazing. congratulations
Good Morning. Thank you!
Lexicon half is a great colour. Don't envy you with all those grooves! Really like the tin ceiling, looks great
Hey Robin! Very groovy job. It's coming together, slowly but surely. All the best!
Looks really nice, you're both doing a real good job.
Thanks again!
Huge transformation guys! Looks amazing! So much work but you look like you are having a great time. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Much appreciated Bonnie!
Doing a great job looking good as it goes enjoy
Much appreciated!
Hi Judy and Scott, I just love your very informative and common sense ‘We are working it out as we go’ (I’m not sure if you said that but you know what I mean) I always look forward to your next video as you never know when you need this information to build your next off grid accommodation. I’m 72 now but never say never 😂. Cheers Steve from Melbourne (Aust) 🇦🇺 (Oh I do know you are in Queensland the land of great weather and I am in the land of poor weather and also our Premier is Lock U Up Dan Andrews)
Cheers Steve! Yes, never say never. There is a bit of planning, but for some parts we are just winging it. Chairman Dan; how on earth did he get re-elected!
Awesome job guys , I really enjoy your Blogs and wish you all the success. Beautiful part of the world to be creating in too. Keep up the great work and post again soon please..
Many thanks Sean!
Quality work as always Scott. I hadn’t noticed anything you’ve said being not right guess that’s because I speak the same 😂
Haha, you speaka da lingo :) Cheers!
27:33 Scott and Judy I’m so impressed. I’ve followed you from the beginning and look forward to hopefully following you guys along on the next stage of your lives. Love the videos!!!

7:33 watching you use a wooden mallet on that frame and then I swear I hear Tears For Fears, Mad World starting off... 😂🤣😆
It was Mad World :)
Hi from Texas. Great Job fitting out the Cabin, it looks really nice. It should make a really comfortable place when you’re done.👍👍
Thank you! We hope so. We are moving onto the the kitchen and bathroom now.
looking good - nice work
Thanks Greg!
❤Looks amazing guys ❤
Thank you!
For my garage build. I used an aluminium C channel to the bottom of a ply sheet and it prevents any water absorbing and looks great as a finished skirting. Might be hard to add once sheets on the wall. Neat job your doing well done.
Good idea! Thank you!
Well done team. Looks awesome
Thanks Gareth!
Looking good. 👍
Thank you!
Love these videos. Great work Scott and Judy you both are inspiring. #lifegoalslikescottandjudy
Thank you! Not a bad goal to have. All the best!
Nice, it's coming together nicely.
Thanks Mark!
Marvellous stuff! You’re doing a great job mate.👍

I think you're doing a great job, especially with the insamalation.
It's inslamination...lol.
Thanks Dale!

Thank you!
Interior lining looks awesome.
Thanks Kev!
Looking really good
Thank you David!
Very well done you 2, a goal I wish to achive with my misses one day 🎉
Lots of work, but worth it. Thank you!
Love to see it
Thank you!
Looking forward to seeing what your plans are around the vertical c channels
Still a little undecided. We have our preferences but will decide soon.
Каркасный дом из металла выглядит надёжно. Утеплено каяественно клнденсата теперь не должно быть от перепада температуры. Хороший дом получается😊
Спасибо! Да, мы на это надеемся!
The work stand will make a good hunting stand when the work is done.
Work is never done :)
I think you made your dogs life easier with that cut lol
True
You want to leave a 20ish mm air gap between the foil and bulk insulation to allow the foil to achieve it's insulative value.
That's right. I have about 30+ in the ceiling even with the bats. 100mm Purling plus 35mm batten helped me keep the spacing. I think the batts are 90mm
Brilliant work. Wonderful to watch. As a most impractical person it gives me the opportunity to 'build' a shed vicariously! Interested to know why you didn't opt for additional insulation in the void between the lining boards and the refelctix?
Thank you Dieter! I have only one wall without the wool insulation. That was when I was in two minds. For all the other walls I decided to spend the cash and make sure it was well insulated. Have to see how it all goes this summer. So far so good.
Hey guys great job!but i think you should consider a whirley bird or two for better air flow, especially especially for the Summer months.😊
Thanks Kevin! We are looking for something up top, perhaps a solar fan. We are also looking for a small loft window.
Скотт, удачи в делах!))😉
Спасибо!
Hey Scott, good to see an Aussie showing their work because we have different materials and building styles here than elsewhere, so that's helpful to have an Aussie perspective. I'm planning on a similar project. I've got a shed similar in size but there is a lot of water coming from between the concrete base and the metal walls. I have used Sikaflex exterior super duper sealer and it held for about 5 years but has now deteriorated so it will need to be reapplied. What was your solution to this. Did you do a video on it?
Thank you! Our slab has a black plastic membrane between the sand fill and concrete and our slab has been dry even during this massive wet we are having. Apart from that the external wall sheets are located on a slab rebate about 30mm lower than the slab surface. If your sheets are sitting on the slab surface then it's either lots of sika, or loosen the sheets and fit flashing under the sheets so that water runs and drips past your slab edge. I probably show the edge rebate in one of my shed building videos. Hope this helps.
It's great to see you. It looks like the building is coming right along! Loved the cupcakes😂 Did you come up with the plan😉
Cheers Drippy. Plan, just winging it haha ;)
