- In this video I am fishing for wintertime catfish on my home waters on Lake Wylie. Fishing for catfish in the winter is typically slower, but some giants can be caught during these slower times. In this video I catch the biggest catfish of 2023 right after catching what would have been one of my top five catfish of 2023. It was a big piece of catfish bait in the right place at the right time. This giant blue catfish ended up being my biggest catfish of the year.

Good fish i have said it before your videos are honest and informative I fish Wylie about four times a week I can tell you this is possible if you listen to deiter and put in the time I’m gonna go out on a limb and predict very soon a 100 pounder will be caught in Wylie I know people say no way and hear lots of tall tales but I have encountered several times fish I couldn’t get in the net I know lines cut knicks knots break things happen but I have had at least 3 fish get the best of me with whole perch or live bream 8 ought hooks 50 pound big game Berkeley line just snap I have caught lots of 40s and one 60 pounder so I know how they feel but anyway I learn a lot because of deiter and other local guys thank you sir I enjoy your stuff

We had a guide trip client catch a 46 pounder....if you follow me on social media it was the lady who was wearing a skirt!!! LOL!!

Flatheads are deceiving.....a good picture makes them look huge and a bad picture makes them look smaller than they actually are....
