I am an special effect makeup artist. I apply prosthetics all the time. Eye lash glue wil work but I advise pros-aide. It is a skin glue (also use for medical uses). It is similar to any basic eye lash glue but way cheaper and stronger. The pro tip to apply it is to prep the skin by cleaning it with 99% alcool. Then apply the pros-aide to you’r skin and you’r chosen prosthetics (here the elf ears) for extra strong hold. Wait until the pros-aide turns clear (it applies white) then position the prosthetics hold it for a few second. Naw it won’t move or go anywhere until you want it to. Remove with a greasy makeup remover or juste any oil of you’r liking.

I have a pair of latex sculpted ear tips that I've had for over 20 years now and I use spirit gum to put them on, but they look so realistic compared to these, they're probably way lighter too. very much recommend it, especially since they will last much longer. If you have allergies, there are neoprene ones too. lash glue does sound like a good quick alternative though since spirit gum is not something you can just go buy anywhere.

I got some lovely ones like that a few years ago at my local Faire, the vendor will even put them on you since people want to wear the things they buy & most people don’t randomly bring eyelash or spirit glue to the Faire. But yeah I do recommend a good light latex pair & putting makeup on them to match your skin, mine look very real when they’re on right.

Lmao! Us old school Rennies actually glued our actual ears! Just a bit of nail glue and then pinch together....lasts the whole day and they usually pop on their own just from natural skin oils, but if you use too much you might need a bit of acetone. You'd think it would hurt, but it doesn't! And that's how you get "real" elf ears😊

Getting Spirit Gum for your outfitters would be better than eyelash glue, pluse, it has the remover with it most of the time. Otherwise, it looks good.

Eyelash glue can actually be used in a lot of ways for cosplay! They can help to stick things like horns to your forehead, glue on ears such as shown in the video, or glue small charms/details to your face. Although I’d recommend testing a bit of the glue on the side of your face before using it on a cosplay to make sure you dont break out, but otherwise its a quite flexible material that you can use in several ways!
