Awesome journal! I love the kit and the freebie and got both of them right away 😊 lol I also spent an absurd amount of time fussy cutting (and loved every minute of it). Side note: if you just want brads for looks, you can either bend the legs back and forth until they snap off or use wire/tin snips and cut them off. Then, you can just glue the head down and not worry about the bulk.
Did that once, cut my fingers in a bad way, not doing that again 😂👍🏻😁

Loved this project. I didn’t have money to buy the kit but used my scrapbook paper and some of your invoices from your old freebies. I made a signature and kept it neutral and I put a signature in it. I was up til 1 am as I was having such a fun time. I’m loving this series. Will get the kit next week . Absolutely gorgeous!!! I love the colors and the beautiful designs. I used an old regular file folder and it looks great. For my closure I used a single eyelet with some small chain and hung charms and used some hemp cord to tie shut. Tomorrow I hope to add the signature and start cutting out all the other ephemera to add with stamping. You are such an inspiration to me and keep up the creativity!

Thank you for another creative, enthusiastic, joyous tutorial. You always inspire me. Last week, you mentioned that you didn’t know how to size your digitals to the page. I saw some evidence of that, as I was printing out my own field note pages. This is not a complaint. I thought I would share with you how I go about designing pages.
Most apps or programs that one would use to design a page should ask you at the very beginning what size page you want. I, for of course, would choose US letter at 300 PPI. This is the suggested resolution for printing. You probably would want to choose A4 paper at 300 PPI.. Having your base the actual size of the paper, simplifies things, at least for me, tremendously. I generally set a 1/4 inch margin mark before I start adding elements to my design. This shows me what I will get if I print at 100%. If I know I am going to rint borderless, I will design clear to the edges of my canvas. I noticed that the pages from the field note kit were at a much lower resolution. Just out of curiosity, what program are you using to design your lovely digitals?
