Forgot about the Zinter injury, but classy reactions from the Buckeyes and Coach Day. That's why our rivalry is good. And that last INT from McCord... Rod Moore wanted that ball more than MHJ. Our DB came back harder, went for the ball faster than MHJ did. Just look at how MHJ went for the ball versus Rod Moore. There was a want and a desire that wasn't there from the Buckeyes WR. Rod Moore had the will to achieve. MHJ may be all-world, but our guy had more heart on that play.
the ball was underthrown bc McCord was hit on the throw. MHJ's vertical momentum was toward the end zone. Moore had no vertical momentum. so MHJ had to vertically change directions from where he was running. You can even see Moore's acceleration going in the direction of where the ball was going to be thrown while it was still in McCord's hands. so really, Moore had a bit of a head start of where the ball was thrown. it was only natural that Moore got to the ball before MHJ. if there was no pass rush, that ball doesnt flutter and is likely caught by MHJ around the 17 yard line. you know, where MHJ's momentum was headed towards at the time of the throw. you wouldn't blame Moore for not "wanting the ball" on that play as much there, would you? dyou blame the defense also for not getting to the ball after Julian's fumble before Emeka? it's not about "heart" or anything. it's just about physics.
