CK Automotive is now testing the new billet SOHC RB30 cylinder head and engine block by Bullet. We caught up with the guys at Quickbitz where the Commodore was getting a solid workout on the dyno.

What an animal! It’s a mean combo and that rb is a work of art! the holden valve cover and the completely normal vl turbo winking tail lights are just the cherry on top!

@@rob2070 Really nothing is Nissan mate , It's A Bullet Billet Dry deck head intake and block , there is not one part that's Nissan , I was talking about the whole car , being a VL Turbo Holden . Top job and well built , and very tuff . And Yes RoB the motor is based sort of , on the RB30 , Bullet Billet , you can't go wrong not matter what brand you love .
Crazy to think these things came out of the box all those years ago with only 150kw and were the gun back then.

@@jo-qp7mz tried and true 7 main bottom ends, long stroke and a decent flowing cylinder head from factory, all a great recipe for boost and fat torque curves 💪

That bolt behind the turbo, I assume that clamps to your dump pipe at 2:12 looks to be spinning? Or reflections?
Why does it have a cable throttle body? Seems weird, especially with an Emtron ecu and how smart the Quickbitz man is.

Its risky running mega boost 70psi + with DBW throttle. Normally we would use one as an air bleed however we wanted to simplify the build this time round.
@@QuickBitz What would be the risk? Unwanted throttle closure when at 1500- 2000hp causing engine damage?

Now just imagine if the BT1 back in the day only had 20% of this much power, which i think they did have via the police Holden tuners making sure they had max boost and safely running it. :)

This is why his customers wouldn't have a bad word to say about his work because he does all this R&D and pushes everything too isn't absolute limites with our really worrying if it's going to break and if it did break he would see that as a positive and learning curve where most other shops if they've broken something they see it as money lost or waste of time and more work and there the shops you should stay away from because they really try to play it safe rather than knowing their products and having Faith in it because youve done that extra bit and spent that extra money so you are confident when it's going in to your customers car.. I hope all that makes sense. When I type it up it never comes across like it does in my head or if I was saying it in person too someone 😅

A piece of rubber vacuum hose plugged onto the end of the plug to get it started & wind it in there 👍
