Been watching Mike and his family for over 15 years now. Sherry looks like Mike and I love how she busts MJ's butt. My only bad moments are on the older shows when I see Robert Graves or Craig Lowe. RIP to two great professionals. I learned so much watching Mike.

I just came upon this online episode this evening, though was a fan from the early years. I paused at this moment to comment to Mike & Nick and the "pondscaping".
This struck a chord in my heart of my most cherished memories; a bunch of kids, my 3 siblings, 3 cousins and a few dogs would be up at the "farm" on weekends 50+ years ago (yikes)! We would run like crazy across one cow pasture to the next, to feed the trout in the pond that was fed by an underground spring. My uncle built the cottage, the pool and the pond on the farmland, inherited from his father, located outside east of Orillia. I know the pond became overgrown decades ago. I don't know if my cousin ( living in Toronto) would ever consider reviving it. But it's great to know it is possible with this magnificent machine!
Please continue these!!! My wife and I are building our forever home and we have learned so much from your show.

I remember the New Orleans Episode, there were so many things I've never seen before like the blue wood, the way you did the structure in that muddy lot and the raised entrance to prevent flooding and escape roof..........you guys are the best Make it Right

The best thing a parent can do, is give their child a few simple tools and teach them how to do things. I gave my 2 yrs old son a small real hammer and a Phillip's screw driver. It was his job to make sure the door hinges and pintles were in, and the door knobs were tight. A tube of graphite grease was provided monthly for squeaky hinges. Soon I saw him studying on drawers that didn't fit or move right. I taught him how to fix those and fix cabinet door hinges.
By the time he was 5 he had a good tool kit. By 6 I was giving him old electronics with the cord cut off, to take apart. By 14 he was building working computers from scrap, plumbing, wiring and building cars. Give your kids tools and projects-not video games to keep them busy!

You should do a new show where you build a house from the idea of building to the turnkey finish ! Like finding a lot to settings the house on the lot working with the architect and plans then site work each phase ! This would show people what exactly what involved with building and the things they need to make sure they have done on their part to have a successful build ! You could call it Holmes builds it right !

Cartoon for the kids would be good, after all when best to teach someone about the trades? You could pick one item every episode of teaching a child the proper use of a tour, about insulating, about building, about plumbing, HVAC, every week you could just take one simple step that could teach them that they would learn and be able to remember it for the rest of their lives

Mike, when you say 'do your research ' please tell us exactly what you mean by that?
I went on Amazon and bought a home inspection book and I will read it before I asked a home inspector to inspect the house that I'm going to be buying within the next two years hopefully over in Idaho so that when I have my home inspected I'll know what questions to ask and watching your program, for the past 2 years, has definitely given me a wealth of knowledge of what to ask the inspector. But I'm wondering what else should I no before hiring an inspector?

I have a cistern and I believe there’s a leak in the piping from the cistern coming up to the pump. Do they make a spray that will seal the pipe without me having to remove the piping and digging it up?
You guys are Awesome, Doing more of this is Cool and how about Show and Tell, how to fix your House, like, is it important to find the Stud, how do you hang a Picture with out finding a Stud, I always want to find a Stud before I hang something. How do you do tile, step by step How Too's. You need to get back to work, allot of us miss your Show, it's family orientated, there are Hardly any True Family Orientated show's nowadays.
I’m not sure if you should be live on Facebook weekly. Your guests had some interesting things about other stuff. I didn’t know why pond’s get choked up with sediment but now I have a little look into what’s going on.
The designer was interesting her company was doing more work for families home improvements that weren’t typical before.
Your format of starting the show having a few clips from your life and Sherry was entertaining, it might be a spin-off for you but I don’t think I can watch that video all the way to the end, it doesn’t flow the way your tv show does it’s slower paced and it’s not easy to watch.
I want to see you continue to produce more television shows that reflect the future and current changes in building science and codes.
The problem with my cable provider is we see the same show over and over again. Holmes on Homes , then Holmes Inspection, Holmes re-Tooled, is past saturated I want to learn more but I don’t think you’re going back to the tv format. Probably too expensive, Facebook livestream events are far less expensive and you can get access to the internet for syndication and you Tube for a lot less capital it may take a long time before the audience is available for another tv show about home improvement.
I would love to become a home inspector. what training would you suggest? How do you get into the business?
I always seem to spend more time than I quote on my jobs so don't make much money. I am pationate about doing whats right for the client. I guess im a bad businessman. Love watching your shows, still catching up
Sherry I no how it is to be healthy I was a vegan and now I am a vegetarian and love it. I live in a retirement home they don't like cooking vegan but since there is an other vegetarian here they don't mind. P S I love the show so keep making it right.

Like watching your show I work for construction companies at work like you honest and ready to go that is reason I like watching you show I'm going to rebuild going to rebuild a tribal house here in Alaska we have native people never been given a good way to live you can see the houses throughout the reservations are not good I learned by watching your shows and working in construction build it the right way is the best way on land and in southeast small town we need a tribal house their tour season is big in Southeast Alaska want to be able to sing our songs and tell stories there's a couple other things I like to talk to you about if we can get together sometime love the way the things you do and work and higher with all the ways I grew up I'm medically retired now the way the young been taught Construction cuz they leave they leave their tools out in the weather can't believe it thank you for letting me put this down if you answer me
