More than 11,000 people evacuated in Indonesia due to volcano eruption. According to reports, over 11,000 people have been evacuated from northern Indonesia. Mount Ruang in North Sulawesi Province erupted at 9:45 p.m. (13:45 GMT) on April 16, releasing towering clouds of smoke and ash. After four more eruptions on April 17, Indonesia's volcanology agency raised the alert level to four, the highest on the scale. As per Indonesian authorities, 'At least 11,615 residents who are in the risk area must evacuate to a safe place'.
