Math you missed his point. He was saying that the generational habits in the hood needs to change. And it's geared more toward the NYC NWK CHI PHIL BMO type of communities where real estate is hard to come by so if you got it keep it and if you don't, then acquire it and keep it available for the generations after you so they always have that foundation to fall on so they can regroup. Fact is, he was right. What do you say to the grands and great grands still in the same PJ apartment they raised their kids in 50 years ago? There's no ownership there. It's not about his circle, he is talking about the plight of the people and the people is the audience. He is discussing it with you but, try to reach the thinking of those of us who need to consider what he is saying.

Mecca is talking facts and like the black community the rest of the people in the shop aren’t taking heed to what he’s saying. Everyone loves to scream I’m independent and I’m on my own after their parents tell them they have to be out after 18. But it’s a downfall for our community because we try to make it on our own when we don’t really don’t know how to then try to go back and are told no you have to tough it out when other communities welcome their own back with open arms and help them to time after time while the black community looks at you like you’re a complete failure. You have to learn from your mistakes and if you have nothing or nowhere to fall back on to. then most give up or just stay stagnant. I.e. pay check to pay check and never really accomplish their goals cause of the system they were raised in. We need to stop thinking that making someone fend for their own because society says they’re grown. Everyone needs help in certain areas and if going back home to reset is what it takes then so be it.

Amen!! These dudes acting like clowns and stunting growth by being ignorant like shii all good smh. Mecca couldn't even give the full breakdown because they wanted to interrupt with irrelevant nonsense. People like them is reasons why blacks aren't nor will not achieve success on a global scale, where there's many amongst us instead of a small number. Hard headed, too loud & proud, running their mouths but ain't saying nothing of sustenance. We don't be listening at all, when they could’ve absorbed the knowledge and built off of it giving solutions. He even told us to not listen to what Mecca was saying though, like what smh?!

In a major way. I fukin hate when we talk about people ( the masses ) and a nigga starts talking about what he sees and who he knows. I've been with my wife since 16. So we have been together for 30 years. So if a nigga tells me he married his 2nd baby mother and they got divorced in 3 years. And 70 percent of marriages fail after 3 years. And I say that's bullshit. I been with my wife 30 years. I'm 1 man. And if we are talking about say 10 million people. And I'm 1 out of ten million. And the majority of that ten million is being affected by something and I'm not. Who should we focus on ? Not the 1 that's not effected. So what you know a Lotta niggaz doing good. That's because that's the circle you are in. You can always tell when a nigga starting to eat. I been doing well for a while now. And I'm still fully aware I'm doing much better then the average Black Man my age. I didn't say the few. I can make 100k minimum up to 150 in my life at the moment. That number would make 50 cent or Jay z cry. They have Jewelry that costs more then that. But to the average dude in NYC or NJ. I'm doing better then him. The average dude drives a 25 to 30 thousand dollar car if he has 1 at all. . My car is worth 56 grand. The next 1 I get will be around 80. The average guy is not driving a 80 thousand dollar car. I don't give a shit what your personal experience is if we are talking about the masses. People need to think before they speak.

Which will never be able to prosper because we don't want to help them win in the long run even if we lose a little/take some losses as customers. Of course the prices won't be ideal and add the people buying are probably low to middle class so they're not financially stable and will most likely shop for deals and low prices to get more. It's all unfortunate for real, a shitty cycle but if we really want to win as a whole, someone needs to sacrifice as a consumer and/or as business owners.

Just to highlight some positivity of their debate, the simple fact that a room full of black men are talking about generational wealth, real estate, and business ownership is definitely a great thing. We didn’t speak in these terms historically. And the few that did used to be clowned or called a “Sharif” as in “we don’t want to hear that bullsh*t Sharif” - Menace II Society. In Hip Hop, a few of the GOATS like Nas and Jay Z have been planting the seeds for the next generation to become business men and women encouraging ownership or majority stakeholders in multiple business ventures.

Dam. Mecca went tf in on this episode. He spit facts the entire dam time. He always does but this time he really threw some serious haymakers. Math probably always had that mom or grandma to go back to when things got hard but there are ALOT of men I know who don’t. Women can ALMOST always find a way to bounce back because of things like low income housing, wiic, then to make some money they can literally sell pictures of their feet on only fans, get a cashier job at food Lion or something and be okay. If a woman has good looks they always have the option of finding a man with money, marrying him, and if she gets tired of him; divorce him and take half of his life earnings. It’s very hard for people as a whole; women and men right now. Men, however usually don’t get treated the same way as women if they are broke. If you are a broke man you are just the scum of the earth, you’re in the way, you’re a bum, etc. Nobody feels bad for you, you can get stuff like food stamps and Medicaid at least do that you can literally survive, but unless you have a girl, a grandma, a sibling, or someone that will let you sleep on the couch until you can save up a little money; YOU HAVE A VERY HARD PATH ahead of you. It’s possible to get on your feet and do amazing; I personally know some men that have done so. You know what almost all of them had to do or did? They joined the military, got three hots and a cot, got all those benefits that come with the military, and most of them did 20 years and retired around 40 years old and get a check for the rest of their life and then they really start doing things like opening up business and buying homes and flipping them etc. I don’t want to make it seem like men are just hopeless and we have nothing because again; most mfs in the hood have a granny that stay in the projects or a girl they can live with and actually can stack their bread but they would rather go get some illegal money, or be out here gang banging than to work a nine to five, or join the military, or work for the government, or become a merchant sea man, or go to trade school and get a trade like plumbing or hvac… THATS the main issue. It’s like J hood said, DISCIPLINE and taking accountability for their shid. A lot of mfs don’t want to be in the streets foreal, but that’s all they can see. That’s all they know that can work. They got their big brother in prison, they dad in prison or a grave, mom doing the best she can or a lot of times she not even around cause she wanted to go get high or whatever. There are some single mothers out there that are capable and that have raised good, strong, disciplined men but almost always there was a father figure; an uncle, a brother, a cousin, etc., that showed that boy how to walk like a man, talk like a man, defend himself, teach him about women from a man’s perspective, and just how to be a man in general. They had someone to teach them Discipline and a mother usually isn’t going to be able to really instill that discipline in a young man like a father or father figure is my point and when you look at a boy OR even a little girl without their father and how they turn out vs a kid who had their father (a good father) and how they turn out; it’s totally different. Naturally a young man will start looking at the streets for guidance. The dope man, gangs, shid.. even rappers and athletes on television. So yeah, imma have to go and say meeca was right. From the business talk and how we don’t stick together like other races when it comes to certain things and all that.. I love this type of conversation man.. this is what the youth needs.
