Question - if I am not concerned with the conditions of the surviving spouse possible new marriage or having a blended family that I want to dictate how estate is distributed to children of prior marriage etc, etc; then just only focus on the aspect of reducing overall estate tax ; then is it correct that the QTIP trust has no adfvantage over doing the Survivor trust? Thanks.
From the standpoint of portability, does it make any difference how the assets are titled at the first death? Can the surviving spouse get the deceased spouse's unused exclusion (DSUE) even if all of the family assets were titled in the name of the surviving spouse?

You did not mention porbability, doesn’t that come into play at tax filling of estate tax return of first spouse to die ?
