I looked at a few different models and ended up buying the Cuisinart, $100 less than kitchen aid and more powerful too. I make whole wheat flour bread recipe with six to seven cups and it has no problems.
I just purchased this mixer and made fresh whipped cream right now. It took about 15 seconds on level 5 to turn heavy whipping cream, a bit of real vanilla extract and a teaspoon of sugar...and wow! it came out perfectly whipped and delicious. Easy to follow instructions and really terrific stand mixer. I recommend it.

Thanks for the video. Today I bought mine at Costco for 180 cad in a silver color. I love it. But wait before going to Costco I went to Canadian tire and it was for $245.00cnd. Returned it and got the best deal. I trust cuisinart, why 25 years ago I bought a toaster/ oven, is 2020 and still have it, and working like the first day I bought , just the beeping sound is off but I can still bake my everyday meals. Thank you for such Brand!!!!!

I also thought I was missing a piece, but I checked the styrofoam packaging, flipped the styrofoam over, VIOLA! There was the rest of the splash guard. Have you checked both sides of the styrofoam packaging?

That splash guard is polypropylene, it's incredibly shock resistant. You could disk toss that at a brick wall most likely. Wouldn't be too worried about breaking it.
I just purchased the exact item from Amazon yesterday and it was delivered today and I love it. I purchased it for $155. Not bad because it is really well made and heavy duty. Should last for a long time. I hope.
it work well with making bread.. although it took 10 min of kneading the dough(1000g FL) at speed 3 to get the right level of gluten stretch and the machine was working it hard shaking the whole bench.. it has power. The motor did get hot.. so I would not recommend running it continuously for more than 10 min

Whirlpool went too far when they omitted the spring on the beater shaft. That was the last straw for me. I wont buy a KithchenAid mixer. KitchenAid hasn't been half the mixer it was when Hobart owned them.

I can remember in the mid-1990s when the bad reviews were coming in for the current KitchenAid mixers, with plastic gears, etc. They now say the spring on the tool shaft is not necessary, but I've seen videos where the paddle falls off when mixing. Maybe the stainless steel tools on the 8 quart Commercial mixer don't need the spring with their tools being heavier, but I don' think I will buy another of their mixers. Mine (from the late 80s when they were still using Hobart specs) still runs perfectly.

Farber wear are nice funnels😀 because, They are so flexible You would, have to use a straw, or back of a small tea spoon, to help with getting the flour through, the funnel. I found this lovely lady on sale for $159. My only question before buying, is how quiet is it??? My electric hand mixer sends my dogs into a full frenzy...I would love something that’s much quieter.
For me, the paddle didn’t reach the bottom and I did have to scrape down the sides a few times. Is there a way to adjust the paddle so that it goes lower in the bowl? Thanks!

I got this mixer and am wondering if it is normal for a light ticking sound to be heard when the head it is moving and on level 6 and up ? no, part of the whipping attachment is stainless but the top is not. and you cannot put them in the dishwasher .. any of them, except the bowl which is stainless.

It is impossible to cream a stick of butter with sugar, since the blades do not reach the butter unless I manually hold up the bowl. Am I missing something??

Just a very late hint. Put your dry ingredients on to a piece of wax paper, it makes it easier to control the pouring of stuff like flour.

we usually do bread from 3-5 . we notice that 4-5 are the best setting for us. we usually make whole wheat bread which is denser.

Call the Cuisinart support 800-726-0190 and they will lead you through that little detail. Understand it is very easy.

i just bought this. the head bounces up and down when mixing dough. like its not secure. does yours do that.
There is a screw under the lift head that can be tightened. Hope that helps

So disappointed in this machine, creaming butter and sugar requires constant scraping down sides, bread dough same thing, finally threw the dough out. I bought the machine to do the work, well it is not working.Absolutely totally not pleased.

ya right!? Which one reaches the sides?? Seems there is no double beater type left, or if so are cheap and noisy and have plastic, such as I guess the brentwood one....

But since this is an investment that would outlive me, might as well pick the good one and what would be better than KitchenAid stand mixer right? And I’m not disappointed! It works really well. It’s steady, easy to clean! I’ve been baking every weekend. And I absolutely love the ice color. I purposely posted a few photos so you can see the color in different light.
