Finally someone pointed out how there are great dancers in Highlight 😣 Kikwang has a smooth hiphop type of dance. Still remember he's the one who intoduced the so-called american dance in kpop 😁. And Junhyung omg!! I miss his popping dance, he got that swaggy moves & his skills in dancing is so awesome. Sadly many had forgotten cause he decided to focus more on songwriting. But he's still good at his dancing 'til now
i was super sad as well, but with the circumstances and member relations it was for the best): it really is a shame though Hyunseung is so well-rounded (vocals, dancing, stage presence). ugh

I know most people said that gikwang and yoseob are the best dancers of the group. But i think Doojoon is in a league of his own too. Certain dance moves, he totally grooves more than the others. He just enjoy the choreo, so it's great to watch him. Cant take my eyes off uri doojon leader~

Most of groups would have go separate ways, since all the members are individualy famous and have separate schedules (such as filming dramas, solo promotions, variety shows, etc)...for example, ZE:A, Rainbow, Wonder Girls, Kara (groups that disbanded after the contract ended)

I can already tell what a difference to them it makes, being a part of cube and now being highlight. Of course, they will forever be indebted to the company that started them off and fueled their fame, but this, this is a new beginning for these mature artists to freely be who they have become. I have never considered myself a dire hard fan of any kpop group although I love kpop. But I found myself irresistibly attracted to this group, even now. I still remember not paying much attention to this group when they first came out, but then one day on the bus in high school I streamed Fiction when it just came out. And I was stunned at how good the song was, and that seared who they were for me in my mind. I remember how good quality the song was compared to a lot of other kpop they were churning out, and compared to a lot of other kpop they are churning out today. Then when they came out with Ribbon, I actually watched almost every single live performance fully through. For a ballad-esque song, their every detail for each performance was amazing to watch. There's just something about this group, about every member. The fact that they chose to stay together with 5 people says so much about their bond and their strength as a team over the years. I see 5 completely different people, yet I think they have epitomized what it means to be an enduring kpop group. There's so much stage presence and talent for each member, and I'm attracted to literally all of them haha. On top of all that, they are just so FUN
it's not like Cube gave them fame. yes, I admit, they promoted them well, but the hard work was of HIGHLIGHT. they worked hard to be where they are now. Cube created BEAST, but since they didn't want these 5 members to continue as BEAST, I don't think it's right to be said 'they're indebted to Cube'.
I don't think you should take "indebted" so much to heart in a negative light. I feel like we are indebted to a lot of people in our lives, students to their teachers, children to their parents, people to their friends for their support system, etc. All I meant to say was a sense of gratitude. They did have to be selected, trained, and then packaged as Beast by a plethora of well-versed staff and employees in order to realize their dreams in the first place. Not saying Cube deserves the credit that Highlight rightfully owns. If there was never what was then Beast, there would never have been today's Highlight.
when you say 'indebted', I only think about owing something. Right, gratitude is better. The way I see it, they owe nothing to Cube, but still, they said they're grateful. I can say Cube disbanded them (as they did with 4minute) and they regrouped as Highlight

I'm pretty happy with their chart already because among the top 5 in ichart (it's like the total points from all pretty well known music charts in Korea), they are at 2nd place and the only male group among other female singer and female group ❤

Honestly, I never did support Beast (I guess I just never looked?)... But after hearing about these guys, and how through everything: despite a member leaving, despite their struggles with their companies, despite it ALL- these guys stuck together and managed to leave their shitty company and create their OWN company. Like damn, I love that so much, and it somehow makes me proud even though I barely know them-- and I'm definitely supporting them now! I'm sorry I never paid attention to Beast all these years, but I hope you can welcome me now ;3;
but you know the sad thing is, CUBE Ent. used to be a really cool entertainment but the original CEO (called Papa Hong) left due to his grave illness. After his leaving, the company kind of got shady..like all bands from the first generation of CUBE left. G.na disappeared due to some scandal within the company, 4Minute disbanded (and is so much happier now) and look at Beast now. United Cube used to mean something ;;; now i´m just glad that they left that poisinous company.

I can already tell what a difference to them it makes, being a part of cube and now being highlight. Of course, they will forever be indebted to the company that started them off and fueled their fame, but this, this is a new beginning for these mature artists to freely be who they have become. I have never considered myself a dire hard fan of any kpop group although I love kpop. But I found myself irresistibly attracted to this group, even now. I still remember not paying much attention to this group when they first came out, but then one day on the bus in high school I streamed Fiction when it just came out. And I was stunned at how good the song was, and that seared who they were for me in my mind. I remember how good quality the song was compared to a lot of other kpop they were churning out, and compared to a lot of other kpop they are churning out today. Then when they came out with Ribbon, I actually watched almost every single live performance fully through. For a ballad-esque song, their every detail for each performance was amazing to watch. There's just something about this group, about every member. The fact that they chose to stay together with 5 people says so much about their bond and their strength as a team over the years. I see 5 completely different people, yet I think they have epitomized what it means to be an enduring kpop group. There's so much stage presence and talent for each member, and I'm attracted to literally all of them haha. On top of all that, they are just so FUN
it's not like Cube gave them fame. yes, I admit, they promoted them well, but the hard work was of HIGHLIGHT. they worked hard to be where they are now. Cube created BEAST, but since they didn't want these 5 members to continue as BEAST, I don't think it's right to be said 'they're indebted to Cube'.
I don't think you should take "indebted" so much to heart in a negative light. I feel like we are indebted to a lot of people in our lives, students to their teachers, children to their parents, people to their friends for their support system, etc. All I meant to say was a sense of gratitude. They did have to be selected, trained, and then packaged as Beast by a plethora of well-versed staff and employees in order to realize their dreams in the first place. Not saying Cube deserves the credit that Highlight rightfully owns. If there was never what was then Beast, there would never have been today's Highlight.
when you say 'indebted', I only think about owing something. Right, gratitude is better. The way I see it, they owe nothing to Cube, but still, they said they're grateful. I can say Cube disbanded them (as they did with 4minute) and they regrouped as Highlight

but you know the sad thing is, CUBE Ent. used to be a really cool entertainment but the original CEO (called Papa Hong) left due to his grave illness. After his leaving, the company kind of got shady..like all bands from the first generation of CUBE left. G.na disappeared due to some scandal within the company, 4Minute disbanded (and is so much happier now) and look at Beast now. United Cube used to mean something ;;; now i´m just glad that they left that poisinous company.
