@@poklet goin up to rainbow beach in a month then to Vic to pick up a beach buggy roof🤣 thought I may get lucky with the weather. Stanwell been pumping lately 👌🍻
I’ve never experienced a thermal at this site. But others have, and it’s rare. There are many other sites inland of here which develop thermals more reliably
@@deepakingole There aren't any coastal flying events. At least none that I'm aware of. However, if you're planning a holiday, the best months to fly at the coast near Melbourne where I live is Summer: Dec .. Feb. If you visit earlier, it's better to start higher up the eastern coast of Australia. Anywhere from Cairns down to the Brisbane area are good in Spring: Sep .. Nov+ The next comp. I'm attending is facebook.com/CorryongCup/ - which is an inland hill launch with inland tasks. It's a beginner comp., so it has plenty of people willing guide you. For a full list of the comps so you can plan your trip in advance, take a look at the SAFA calendar: www.safa.asn.au/pilot-tools/competition/competition-calendar SAFA is the sporting body that administrates Hang Gliding in Australia. You'll find that January is filled with inland competitions Cheers!

You should come now if you can before the beautiful summer sea breezes peter out!
