I was looking for an easy peasy poncho, and I found many. But I came across yours. I’d rather have you guide me than anyone else. You are the BEST instructor, Craig.
Thanks so much for this tutorial. I was looking for an easy poncho to teach some kids in Nepal, and this is perfect. I really like having you “hang out” with us, so thanks for the extra time. And I love hearing you say, “Believe you me,” because it’s something my mother would say, and I never hear it any more.
I haven't even started this yet and I know its gonna be fabulous. You really are the best and easiest instructor. I'm gonna make the poncho and a bag/purse to match for my sister-in-law and niece for Christmas! Thanks for being you.
When I am confused by an instruction, I scroll around on TH-cam looking for similar projects and listening for better instructions. You saved my poncho project by showing me how to increase at the corners! And your entire video was a delight, thank you thank you! New fan.
You are the best teacher. I appreciate the fact that when you have malfunctions, i.e.splitting the yarn, you don't edit it out. That makes me so less anxious when things happen. Thank you so much!
LOVE the granny shawl... I also LOVE how you wear the garments in order for us to see how it looks on. Your tutorials are amazing and I appreciate all your hard work! Ciao! 💜💜💜
I am using a 2 weight cotton yarn with 4.0mm hook. To make setup row less fidgety, I did a row of single crochet & then did first round of granny stitch. Loving it!!!!
Hi Craig , it’s been a long time since I last said hi . I have been trying some other poncho tutorials and you are the only person I can learn from. I just love your voice, speed and personality that comes out. Your adoring fan and spiderett . Happy new year!
I typed easy crochet poncho and after watching the beginning of several videos, yours stuck! I gave up on all the others and your tutorial was the one for me! New subscriber here! Thank you!!
I'd like to thank you for doing your tutorials this summer. I've noticed there are too many unboxing and over done podcasts. I really appreciate your beautiful work. You are fabulous artist!
Love this poncho so simple yet elegant the colors are beautiful. I will be excited to see the finished project in that color way. I'm going to see about getting yarn to start one also, as always tfs have great weekend.
I love your tutorials, but I really wish you would do them in full screen. I might have missed why you do them this small. Thanks so much for your clear instructions. Greatly appreciated.
I could listen to your tutorials all day. You explain it beautifully and don't get 'tangled up', pardon the pun. A calm tutorial makes for less mistakes for me haha! Thank you!
Hi Spider. Just started this Poncho for a friend in black. I do t like working on all black but that is what she wants. Love your color way going to look for it at the store. Thanks for this beautiful and easy pattern. Will send you a picture when I am done.
Love it! I really like the way you show how to customize neck opening❤️ Gazed at your Virus Shawl video for a refresher to make one for a yarn shop. You’re still the best teacher I know 😘😘😘😘😘😘
Love granny stitch anything here.. Just wondered what this would look like in a hexagon granny... hmmm, I may have to try that! Really like this. I have some interesting yarn this would be really nice with! Thanks Spider, you rock as always!
Oh, Craig, I love this Granny Square poncho so much! Thank you for modeling it. I am giving up for today as I just can't get my hands to do what my brain is saying. Going under those 2 loops of the stitch is rather difficult. I will give it a shot tomorrow. Wish me luck. Thank you for all of your fabulous tutorials. I always look forward to a new design by you.
It looks fabulous. Missing you, and your shawls. Do let us know when you're doing a live stream, as I'm in the UK, but don't sleep, so I would like to take part. My notification are on, but I don't always see it, I do get up and Potter about... Bad Back, I say no more.!! I'm addicted to your Brenna Shawl, as its fantastic in malabrigo. Thankyou for your patterns, but I do still miss you😪😥💞
Thank you, fs! I never thought to do a poncho with the granny stitch, but, as you say, it’s very versatile. I really do love it, especially the fact that’s it’s just a repeat that flies by. Your tutorial was awesome! Have a super Saturday 🤟
I love granny squares, too, so I'm really enjoying this one! That first round was a pain, but after that it just zings by. I had ordered some Caron Simply Soft Ombre in the color Saturday Blue Jeans to see what I could make with it. This pattern is perfect! I'm only 2 rounds in and it already looks amazing! Now, I just need to order several more skeins and I'll be in business. Thanks FS! Blessings all!!!!! 💜💜
The striping on that yarn came out really nice on your poncho...I want to make a poncho haven't found a style/stitches I really like. Thanks for creating this video :D
This pattern is so well done and clearly explained! The only tweak I made was, that after the chain, I did a row of hdc. It gives the neckline (imho) a neater finish, but it also helps to stop the chain twisting 🙂
Thank you. I think you have the best tutorials. I just made this poncho using LionBrand Cupcake yarn and it’s beautiful. Now I’m starting one with Mandala Tweed Stripes. Thanks again. Hope you are staying safe.
Thank you for this poncho. I love the 4 corners, and how it hangs. Much nicer than a triangle poncho. I'm doing it in striped yarn. Can't wait to see it finished.
Thank you! I was looking for a poncho pattern for my daddy for Father's day. This is going to work great! It isn't too lacy and I think it will be warm enough in the chilly mornings and evenings without being too warm. PS this is the first video of yours I have watched and immediately subscribed.
Hi spider, I’ve just seen a pattern called Cockles of the Heart. Looks good, maybe you could take us through that some time? I know you have to find the pattern and of course make it first, but hey,we can wait!

I did a round of single crochets before starting on the double crochets, and it made a really neat edge. Thank you for sharing your pattern.
You are the best teacher. I appreciate the fact that when you have malfunctions, i.e.splitting the yarn, you don't edit it out. That makes me so less anxious when things happen. Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing your time with me!!! Have a blessed day!!!

I love it & it's even better when you do t have to sew it or piece it together. Thanks, Craig for another great tutorial. 🤗

I love it, and with a four corner poncho it’s really easy to make raglan sleeves and turn it into a top. Love the yarn, by the way!

Hi Spider ! I´m a great fan of your videos. Greetings from Germany
I made this pattern with the larger neck so I could add a ribbed cowl. I also put a picot edging on and I love how this turned out. Thanks!
How much bigger? I can't find a pancho I like that has a cowl. Thanjs.
@nancymclaughlin2204 oh I don't remember. I think he gave instructions on having a larger neckline.
Love your videos! Thank you for sharing! Beautiful shawl.
Thank you for this poncho. I love the 4 corners, and how it hangs. Much nicer than a triangle poncho. I'm doing it in striped yarn. Can't wait to see it finished.
