What do you think about tossing in an elimination guess once you get down to 3-4 knowns? STA?E has 8 possibilities for the missing letter: D, G, K, L, N, R, T, V . If you then guess DRANK, Absurdle will deny you as many hits as possible leaving only L T and V. The VALET would force it to choose one of the remaining letters. And this is why cheating at Absurdle is still fun, because Absurdle cheats, too.
Finally getting around to try Absurdle and it was as fun as you said it would be. I solved the word "query" in six, with XXERY left and only other vowel being a "U." I figured it had to be "query" and it was.
I use the random guess for my first because using the same first guess every time led to too many repeat games. Absurdle is completely deterministic (except for random guesses). On my second guess I try to include a Y because so many words end in Y. My best score is 4 which is also the minimum. I only got it once when I first started playing. Since I now play in difficult mode, my best is 5. 6 is common, 8 is usually the worst.
@@SeanPlays1 Tried it just now and ended up with Mummy (which is basically Fuffy haha) in 9 attempts. Amazing Concept and really interesting to know that in Wordle there's actually only around 2000 Words that could actually be correct.
Much more challenging than Wordle. Try this: CRYPT, LOAVE, SUEDE, HINGE, only KNIFE was left. Now, the challenge is four guesses. Don't think three is possible.

Yes, absolutely. You wanna back it into a corner before you run out of guesses
Gee Sean, thanks so much for mentioning me. I'm now starting with as many consonants as possible to try to play them at their evil ways. LOL
Haha! Fighting evil with the power of consonants
Really cool. Tried this and got it in 7 tries twice. That makes me pretty confident I can get almost any wordle in 6 tries.
Nice!
I love listening to your thinking! I find the multiple rhymes are frustrating.
Glad you're enjoying the videos!
I think there are infinite guesses, therefore you will always solve it.

Wow! 4 is awesome!
I'll be honest I don't understand this but looks interesting lol
It's a bit confusing how it works, but you can play it like wordle
Amazing concept
I agree. I think it's quite fun. I'm tempted to play that more often
CRYPT, AEGIS, BLEED, NOVEL, only LUMEN left. I would like to see a "4".
5 is pretty good
Thanks; have tried about 20 combinations. Five isn't difficult, but four seem impossible for me.
I got 5 aswell. WAKES, COMFY, THROB, GUILD, and PRONG
Edit: got 5 again VIGOR LEAPT FUCKS MUDDY BUNNY :)
Interesting. I tried before watching your video. First word "crypt" seemed good to me, but yours may be better.
I think CRYPT is a great starting word here. Helps purge the dictionary of all the weird words. LOL
@@SeanPlays1 Thanks; the "y" really can complicate.
Got absurdle word FOCAL in 6. I think it is more fun than wordle, which I normally get in 3 - 5
It's certainly more challenging
Sean, do you create your own dictionary or is there something I can refer to? Thanks
I haven't gotten my hands on the actual wordle dictionaries yet. I know quite a few people have
this is amazing. Really interesting.
I definitely like it

I think the best way to describe this game is that its hard wordle lol
Definitely

Wow! That's great!
@@SeanPlays1 Thanks again. Tomorrow, I'll search for four.
My comment keeps getting removed, so let me be more vague about dictionaries... knowing how to view page source is helpful.
Oh, I'll go take a look
Is it just me who doesnt see how absurdle is different to normal wordle?
You can basically play it the same way. Yes
It's possible to solve Absurdle in four tries - can you do it?!
Yes, someone mentioned that in the comments. Crazy!
I got 5 with wakes, comfy, throb, guild, and prong. 4 seems impossible.

Jobby is a word in Scotland LOL
What does it mean?
@@SeanPlays1 Similar to "thingy", my northern English dad used to say it growing up. In Scotland, it's slang for..."dung"?
My daily grind is:
Wordle
Quordle
Nerdle
Absurdle
Anyone else? Any other interesting ones?
For more games at the same time, try Dordle, Octordle, and Sedecordle. Otherwise we play Worldle every day here too
Heardle, a music game
CRYPT, ELUDE, SIGMA, AVIAN, KHAKI; last one!
Nice work!
@@SeanPlays1 Have you tried to get to four?
