That paladin not only did he have a disgustingly good deck but to put salt in the wounds he was also a good player. That tax turn with no hesitation god damn.
Back in the days of Classic Hearthstone Zoolock was prevalent, and in that deck Dire Wolf Alpha played a big role in allowing your small minions to trade efficiently. He used to put "Trump Teachings" videos, and in one of them he advised how to position minions around Dire Wolf. Nice to know these skills still matter (and, obviously, if you are playing Classic mode, you will need to master them).
Yeah I messed up royally haha. Only just got back into Hearthstone after 4 years so it's fair that I played so awfully, I was embarrassed during the match and I didn't even realise it was against Trump until I saw that scorpid immunity play and went, oh that's so weird I did that a few days ago, and then read my name. Sorry everyone!
That mention of Kripp made me sad. Watching him play arena on twitch whilst I was falling asleep in my bed was my shit for years. I understand why he doesn't do it anymore, but battlegrounds really isn't the same.
... no? It's a number of wins system, you're matched against people with the same number of wins/losses in the run, MMR alongside that makes no sense. The only exception is that new accounts only face against other new accounts for the first (few) runs.
it's all balanced out by the paladin trump got afterwards, that guy was the most optimal player i've seen trump face yet especially after not hesitating on a mechanic that comes up maybe once in every thousand games
@@Jebu911 mhm it was definitely one of the rare cases of skill expression in hearthstone rather than just coinflip matchup or discovered by, he made the most out of his cards

3 rats into one taunt, 2 rats and weapon into the other. Then you can sack a rat into any minion, drop the Battlemaster in the middle, and all of those adjacent rats get a second attack due to windfury. You can sack those rats to move the windfury to other rats, it's just like old Naxx Shaman with tokens (such as Haunted Creeper) and Flametongue Totem.
Weapons grant your hero attack throughout your turn, not just when you're attacking. This is why cards like Blade Dance work, but can also result in you doing retaliation damage due to something like Misdirection.
Classic Trump that last game, holding onto a 4 mana 5/9 a few turns when it could have helped him stabilise the board and just having way too much value when he dies :')
No, it's a mechanic, if an enemy attack you while you have a weapon equiped, he will take the weapon damage, but it can only occour on your turn, since the weapon must be unlocked
It's a weird interaction because the weapon is active on your turn. The minion attacked because of the frenzy effect and the weapon dealt damage without losing durability

That was one of the worst Trump trades done in history, 18 damage to kill a 2/1, and it wasn't even done by Trump.

When Claw draws a small cheap minion, the plus three in stats is more impactful than when it draws a 7 mana poisonous minion.
This is true, but it’s also likely you’ll want to draw your bigger minions at that point
