Coming to Mumbai Gullies and GameEon- It is always great to see developers appreciating criticism and kudos to Nikhil for that. I also appreciate him engaging with the community to understand their pulse. I realise this game not might be a AAA or AA level game and I honestly don't care about that. I've seen more dedication and heart being poured into indie games in the last decade than any AAA game. While I realise the developers and their sponsors have set a goal for themselves to create an open-world RPG, it'd be my humble suggestion to not go the Ubisoft (Assassin's Creed) way with their game. It is way better to have a small map with hand-crafted and meaningful quests, immersive environment and interesting characters than having a massive map with copy-paste quests, boring characters and generic environment. While I'll not make any comments until I see an alpha stage game-play, it'd be great to see innovative gameplay mechanics inspired by the different aspects of life in the city. I also realise that the budget is tighter compared to other open world rpg makers, hence I'll not be expecting super realistic mo-cap enabled animations, high quality voice acting and next-gen graphics. Having said that, I'd like to see interesting gameplay mechanics, meaningful character progression and real-life Mumbai-inspired map and asset designs. I'd like to wish you guys all the luck in the world and may the god of crunch bless you!!
Mumbai gullies should be next shown only when it's almost finished or finished, and I do think the game wasn't supposed to be shown to people right now as the main thing people notice about the game is graphics and graphics are usually the last thing finished when making a game. Animations i hope will also improve, and driving physics too, so that we can get a trailer that's professionally shot. no shade to the game, totally looking forward to it! best of luck :D !!!
nikhil bhaiya the fact that u takin feedback from every criticism is really good nowadays game companies just strictly ignores their player base companies like Activision and ubisoft doin this for years whoever criticizes them they sometimes even took their video down or never invite them in release event

First of all Being a Game developer myself I Can understand each and every point Nikhil said , But one of the most important and core thing that is missing in this field in our country is the knowledge and experience . I think comparing an Indian Game developer and a foreign game developer there is a space of difference , you accept it or not this remains a fact. This mostly boils down to the fact that we don't have any specializations (Degree or courses) provided by any institutes to this and many other fields. Still I think we can go a long way In this field . All the best to you and your team!
Sir one suggestion from my side is that these health bars don't look good. Instead you can use the style like ghost recon or valorant in which the enemy body directly falls down after death
Car customisation, character customisation, nature (mountain), airport, swimming, proper reflection, proper physics like gta 4. These are my suggestions😅 I like the trailer and waiting for it since last year.But take your time to take this at the peak hats off to you man for making such a good game ❤❤❤.

Few things which I hope come out good in the final version: would be the physics system.. Apart from gunplay , I think car driving also plays a big role in this type of game so- Regarding the Vehicle physics, I hope its slightly complex, and we are able to 'feel' the difference between the Vehicles based on if its a Super car, or a heavy vehicle, or an auto or something.. Other than the basic variables like Acceleration, Braking, Top Speed, Traction, Handling I hope there are more complex variables in the physics system like- Suspension, Weight, Center of mass, Aerodynamics, Engine Power, Drive Type: (Whether the car is front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, or all-wheel drive, which affects its handling and traction. ), Gear Ratios, Tire Type. Also regarding the Melee Combat System: - That flying kick animation felt a bit funny and unrealistic to me. ( or idk if people in Mumbai really know kungfu ), I hope the melee combat gets some more realistic punching and kicking animations. Also the ragdoll physics- The ragdoll animations/ death animations of enemies feel quite a bit stale. Hope more work is done on that
I would like to point out that most people prefer right handed view on the shooting games. But I can see Mumbai Gullies has left handed view which would make it a little weird for me to play. If it has or will have an option to switch perspectives then that would be great.

Feedback 1: In the Mumbai Marine Drive scene, please keep some people sitting on the walls and stones. Feedback 2: In the Diwali/Mela scene, the balloon firing competition between Jimmy and Vangya should be improved, like ironsight or cross-hire should be added and their names in the balloon board should be dynamic, it should pop up at the start, and should disappear at the end. Feedback 3: Please improve animations and camera movements currently it looks really bad and unprofessional. Feedback 4: Kindly improve the AI in the NPCs. NPCs should look alive like the GTA games, hire somebody who can do that, that's a very important thing in every open-world game. Animations of NPCs, like they should do unique activities randomly, they should talk, react to any actions made by the player, NPCs should smoke cigarettes, use public washrooms, etc. Feedback 5: Don't keep the 'U' button to dance randomly, the player should get an option to dance in certain areas. Feedback 6: There should be player customization like changing clothes, gym to gain muscles, tattoos, etc. Also, the player should be able to steal clothes from NPCS after killing them and should be able to drag and hide the dead body. i don't have any thoughts on game trailer because there's a lot of development left and you can't predict how final game gonna look like you can only understand how game theme gonna be with trailer but you never know, i hope devs get more budget because making a game from the scratch needs more then they have and they are giving there all i just hope for the best and wish good luck to whole team

I have some suggestions regarding the first trailer, 1)try hiding the health bar of a player and see difference, i think without bar will look great and more realistic, 2) cross walk of player needs some work, it is not good gaming experience
My first interaction with PC games was vice city when I was 6 or 7 idk I’m playing GTA V and RDR2 since their respective launches but It’s sad that Mumbai gullies is not even looking close to a 10 year old game. I’m 😔 sad
Hey brother,I had some true dev suggestions for you,so basically after seeing the trailer,the character movement looks not that good,if you guys used ALS System for the base of the project,this would not have happened,secondly,the weapon animations,it looks like you aren't using procedural animations that's why it looks too foolish,this will result in a great mess afterwards if you don't fix these now,eithe game's graphics are stunning and after seeing the lighting,i hope you guys are using LODs for the meshes,i think it wiuld a well optimized game Thankyou, Sankalp,this side.
I am eagerly waiting for this game. Making a good game and taking more time, is worth it. Bring something unique in the shooting and storyline part, for example, cinematic scenes while playing a game like Call of Duty and also some romantic scenes in a good way should craze the public and try to insert mini-games within the game itself, and some more parts like cash withdraw from ATM, something interesting like haunted places and secret missions, television and radio control, this little things matters a lot in an open world game and please make the car and character movement more smooth .@GameEon best wishes to Nikhil and his team. Nikhil bhai, agar aap gameplay trailer mein yeh specify kara dete neeche ke section mein ya ending card mein ki "This game is in development phase, final result may vary." toh jyada problem na hoti. Isse hume bas yeh idea hota ki progress kahan tak pohunchi hai. Agge agar koi dusra gameplay showcase karein toh iss baat ko dhyaan mein rakhiyega.
One thing I would like to point out is, you should put "Work in progress" watermark in the gameplay video so that people can know it's still not ready yet. Because when anyone sees that trailer they will think the final product will be like this only. Btw I believe in you and your team.

Mistake done by reviewer: Reviewing the game before it is launched. Mistake by game marketing and management: Announcing deadlines that they can't met. Please stay silent till you have a production level Alpha gameplay ready . If you want to attract investors then just post it on TH-cam with watermark work in progress or send potential investors seperately but don't create false hope among public. People will lose interest and when your game is launched people will expect what demo they last seen and that was under development. So they won't purchase. This happened to many games and movies in past. WORK IN SILENCE AND LET YOUR RESULT SPEAK FOR ITSELF. And you can get feedback and improve after launching MVP. The feedback you are asking for is not even MVP (Minimal Viable Product) Best of luck to all the team.

unreall engine 4/5 gives you amazing graphics out of the box without any configuration, so I think the problem lies in models and custom shaders , that's why previous build looked better in terms of graphics because it was put together with pre-made assets from asset store. They need to focus on their designers to provide better graphics

I don't care about realistic visuals, maybe try having something that has a specific aesthetic/artstyle, zassar's points were really agreeable. The yakuza series/many J-RPGs doesn't look that well visually but have a unique artstyle and very decent melee combat mechanics, various other stuffs like choice based story progression that make them very appealing to play. 13:18 the expected release date was 2023, no way someone can make a decent game in just 3 years especially when it's your first game of its kind. Please take your time.

tips for improving game 1)Put good and realistic weapon handling and recoil along with camera reshake 2)put good and realistic ragdoll which will give weight of body 3)give realistic weight to car and also put good camera 4)for health bar use a weapon aim reticle and when aiming on npc put healthbar around reticle
the thing is mumbai gullies is more ambitious project ..if u all see still rockstar took 25 27 years to develop gta 1000 and 1000s of artists nd workers nd still alot of bugs so i hav my hopesup ..because games like this takes time and continuous growth ...
I would personally suggest ki Graphics department mai thoda work karna hoga before you guys launch another trailer. The presentation of trailer wasn't that catchy enough it looked like ki koi ek banda video editor se bus clips ko merge karke audio add kardiya ho. Game overall still feels like an Indie game project rather than a AAA game as it should be. I also noticed ki characters Shadow project nhi kar rahe the aur gameplay part is a bit laggy. I hope you guys are also working on optimization along side it.

We shouldn't judge any game from its alpha game play because the is didn't complete....becoz there are lots of example where alpha/bata gameplay looks so bad but final gameplay is fully different.... If you don't trust mei just search your favourite game gta 5 alpha gameplay then you will understand what i am saying
If ur hating on Mumbai gullies then let me tell u , their is a game called genshin impact. Who used same character animation for pose and expression on new character also used same npc for story. Still it has millions of people playing it . And let me u genshin impact is for both mob and pc
The most played games are not always big-production games but indie games. There are many games launched, but not everyone can play them because their current PC or system is not capable of that level of performance. So even if the game is not as good-looking as MW2, etc., if the story, gameplay, and support from devs for future content are good, we are really happy because we want to play games after an entire stressful day and we want to play games that we can afford. If they produce something like GTA 6, but my system is not capable, then it doesn't matter if the game is Indian or not. Hey where we can test the game (demo) ?
we can also take example of cave story a 2d indie game which took more than 5 year and now is the best indie game of all time . the developer took time and made a masterpiece so we should also wait for this masterpiece
I have been following your channel since before the announcement of Mumbai Gullies. You have come a long way, and I hope you keep going further. I had some feedback that might help. First of all the health bar doesn't need to change, just remove it altogether. There is no need for an enemy health bar in an Action-Adventure game, it's not an RPG. You'd be wasting human effort trying to perfect it. And secondly, graphics do need some work. I'll suggest increasing the polygon count of props and characters as it stands out the most and investing more into better lighting and texture work, lighting being the most important of all. Textures don't need to be clean and perfect. Often the more dirt and scratches you find on a texture, the more realistic it looks. But that of course is subject to your art style. I understand that it'll come with a major performance impact but that's where good optimization comes in. This is what makes the difference between experienced and non-experienced developers. I know you want the game to be accessible so that most people can play it, even with a low/mid-end PC, which is reasonable, as the majority of people in India don't own a gaming rig. But you can use the power of customization to grant people a high range of graphics options that'll allow them to choose between higher fidelity and higher performance. Lastly, I wish you guys all the best. We want to see you succeed and most of all we want to play this game and want it to fulfill the expectations that were set when the announcement trailer was released.
tbh zassar mentioned three levels which is true but very basic things to talk about and there is huge gray area but making a game is entirely another beast to conquer what he mentions barely scratches the surface and most of the games he mentions sure has elements you can compare but not necessarily all of it Mumbai gullies is an ambitious project it is an open world third person shooter the only valid comparisons he mentions of are RDR2 and GTA both owned by big dog of gaming industry Rockstar and Mumbai gullies is just a new start and the budget constraint def will be a big issue to tackle even Nikhil mentions that kudos to him taking the feedback in a positive light and I agree with his approach and honestly speaking about the game. There is a lot to talk on this topic I still have hope for Mumbai Gullies and wish to see this game rise in ranks among the likes of GTA all the very best to Nikhil and his team.
True that though Raji was also a top down approach game , whereas HeLL Blade as well was more of a narrative driven game with less focus on gameplay, if you were to look into its review , folks have called it a walking simulator but it had very good plus points in order for folks to compare with it , so yeah the game making process here would be a lot different , with more money and time needed. And its not even in alpha test phase so clearly a lot , a lot of work needs to be done

As A Gamer ... Some Advices and suggestions To Nikhil Sir (I hope he reads this) 1. please optimize the game as much as possible as you know the condition of majority people in india ....... Dont go for 4k textures for the base game... instead add it as a free dlc for those who can run it 2. Sometimes i wish for the graphics and extra content modders to be hired by a studio .. they can already make a good looking game great 3. Would love to see easter eggs and secret locations like the gta series so that this game can stay relevant for a long time. Best example is the Mount Chilliad Mural From GTA 5 4. Dont go woke 5. Need to have good character progression and memorable side characters (A notable example could be munna bhaiyya from mirzapur)
See I would say it is about the art style rather than the graphics. Sekiro's art style is better than death stranding . I personally prefer the art style than the graphics . Some of my fav games are Borderlands , souls games these games look good not because of the graphics but cuz of the art style they choose for the game . Even elden ring is an example
I believe India will be the hotbed for gaming. It is important that we manage expectations from Indian game company who are foraying into this genre of game (open world sandbox). In honesty, you can make a game look 10x better than anything in the trailer with assets purchased from asset store, but it may backfire when the art design clashes with the rest of the environment later down the road, it is a bad idea. If the gameplay is solid to the point that you cannot put down the controls of the game for the first half an hour, it has very well captured the expectation. I also think that this game should adopt some early access strategy to raise money (similar to Baldur's gate 3, bit of a stretch but expendable resources are resources to expand when it comes to early access). People like me who can spend a bit of money can help the devs make this a better game by buying it early and giving critical feedback and the community can enjoy a bug free experience on the day of launch. I also think that if this game were to adopt a more stylized approach (as someone who has dabbled into game development, the idea sounds crazy to me but it has done wonders for some games), there would be lower expectations on realism and more on the gameplay-loop.
The guy reviewing the game sounds like someone with solid biases and is uninformed about games and the game industry in many senses. The review of those games swings in the ways of his strong likings and opinions, rather than the Gameplay, Mechanics, Game Loops, Reward systems, Combat systems, etc. offered by games. The DS vs Seikiro comparison is BS, the way he did it. but again, I said it swings to his liking, and he sums it up with insignificant umbrella terms. I'm sad Nikhil you had to give explanations like 'this' to something like 'that' because you shared WIP footage as a TRAILER, but I am also glad as an Indian game developer, you are doing it. KUDOS man!!!

Zassar made some good points. Its true that gameplay and artstyle > graphics but im guessing the underwhelming nature is due to the early stages in development. The world lacks texture, lighting etc or badically a soul. Another thing is that the area displayed looks procedurally generated and copy pasted which is a huge NONO for modern day gaming. No two are should look the same. Speaking of which sometimes tom clancy world looks like but that but the gameplay makes up for it with a huge variety of guns and mechanics.
Bhai max to max last 3 months mein post production ka kaam hota hai(which is main thing for looks textures, post-processing, shader, final character models, Game Art, environment, UI). Takes time

Tip for the game - health bar ki jagah , opacity kr dijiye.....like full health pe opponent fully visible rhega and health low hote uski opacity Kam krte jaiye r marne pe yaa toh body aise niche jameen pe Directly collapse kr dijiye wrna koi cool sa animation marte time.... Additional Tip - cam add visible bones to the enemy which gets visible after after health deduction.....more the health more the muscles appear out of the body(veins) and lesser the health more the skeleton of the body appears.....I think you are getting that right what I trying express..... These things will work out for real dope shitt!!should work....🙂I mean better than those health bars!!.... Btw following since 4 years🙃💌✨

Sir enemy pe Jo health bar he wo bohot outdated lag raha he. Ye game agar rpg game nahi he jisme bohot high health wale bosses toh me recommend Karunga ki health bar hata de.
I would say, the beachside buildings look like matchbox, and some of the gullies and the vehicle looks a bit like clay model. The gunfight is very very mediocre, but I do believe there will be a good output by the end. My suggestion is that add a second layer of realism, such as in game lores, secrets through things such as posters, mobile ads. And a big thing I want to say is that, some of the buildings, especially those in gunfight areas, the things look too much squary, if that makes sense? Too much symmetry makes the world look mediocre (it felt like a pubg mobile terrain). And I think mo-cap is pretty easily available in today's development era, even TH-camrs with their bedroom as studio is able to put out decent output, the character movements felt lifeless, from the running to gunfire(there is a lot of physics playing out in a gunfight, and this felt none of them applied here). Please improve over the buildings and vehicles, do what gta has been doing since ages, do fake car brands which reflects real life. Again this all are the points I got from the trailer. I do keep hope on the final output. Also I suggest to keep updated on the development through posters or pictures instead of releasing half baked gameplay footage as 'trailers' as it gives a feeling of this is what is being finalized. Please make the game lively and interactive and provides a lot of freedom, or what happened with Watch dogs 2 and legion would be translated to here too. I don't expect GTA 6 but surely do expect something similar in what is done with GTA4. All the best.
Releasing a trailer this early was a big mistake This game still needs a ton of work and it will probably take another 5years to reach it's desired mark. It's pointless to hype the game with trailers and gameplay right now
Sir i would like to recommend you to remove the health bar , i think its not necessary...as many AAA games doesn't use health bar..making the game more realistic... secondly the graphics need serious improvements... specially the textures , shadows and lighting.

Coming to Mumbai Gullies and GameEon- It is always great to see developers appreciating criticism and kudos to Nikhil for that. I also appreciate him engaging with the community to understand their pulse. I realise this game not might be a AAA or AA level game and I honestly don't care about that. I've seen more dedication and heart being poured into indie games in the last decade than any AAA game. While I realise the developers and their sponsors have set a goal for themselves to create an open-world RPG, it'd be my humble suggestion to not go the Ubisoft (Assassin's Creed) way with their game. It is way better to have a small map with hand-crafted and meaningful quests, immersive environment and interesting characters than having a massive map with copy-paste quests, boring characters and generic environment. While I'll not make any comments until I see an alpha stage game-play, it'd be great to see innovative gameplay mechanics inspired by the different aspects of life in the city. I also realise that the budget is tighter compared to other open world rpg makers, hence I'll not be expecting super realistic mo-cap enabled animations, high quality voice acting and next-gen graphics. Having said that, I'd like to see interesting gameplay mechanics, meaningful character progression and real-life Mumbai-inspired map and asset designs. I'd like to wish you guys all the luck in the world and may the god of crunch bless you!!

Mumbai gullies should be next shown only when it's almost finished or finished, and I do think the game wasn't supposed to be shown to people right now as the main thing people notice about the game is graphics and graphics are usually the last thing finished when making a game. Few things which I hope come out good in the final version:
would be the physics system..
Apart from gunplay , I think car driving also plays a big role in this type of game so-
Regarding the Vehicle physics, I hope its slightly complex, and we are able to 'feel' the difference between the Vehicles based on if its a Super car, or a heavy vehicle, or an auto or something..
Other than the basic variables like Acceleration, Braking, Top Speed, Traction, Handling I hope there are more complex variables in the physics system like- Suspension, Weight, Center of mass, Aerodynamics, Engine Power, Drive Type: (Whether the car is front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, or all-wheel drive, which affects its handling and traction. ), Gear Ratios, Tire Type.
Also regarding the Melee Combat System:
- That flying kick animation felt a bit funny and unrealistic to me. ( or idk if people in Mumbai really know kungfu ),
I hope the melee combat gets some more realistic punching and kicking animations.
Also the ragdoll physics-
The ragdoll animations/ death animations of enemies feel quite a bit stale. Hope more work is done on that
I would like to point out that most people prefer right handed view on the shooting games. But I can see Mumbai Gullies has left handed view which would make it a little weird for me to play. If it has or will have an option to switch perspectives then that would be great.
Hopefully shoulder swap will be an option.

Feedback 1: In the Mumbai Marine Drive scene, please keep some people sitting on the walls and stones.
Feedback 2: In the Diwali/Mela scene, the balloon firing competition between Jimmy and Vangya should be improved, like ironsight or cross-hire should be added and their names in the balloon board should be dynamic, it should pop up at the start, and should disappear at the end.
Feedback 3: Please improve animations and camera movements currently it looks really bad and unprofessional.
Feedback 4: Kindly improve the AI in the NPCs. NPCs should look alive like the GTA games, hire somebody who can do that, that's a very important thing in every open-world game. Animations of NPCs, like they should do unique activities randomly, they should talk, react to any actions made by the player, NPCs should smoke cigarettes, use public washrooms, etc.
Feedback 5: Don't keep the 'U' button to dance randomly, the player should get an option to dance in certain areas.
Feedback 6: There should be player customization like changing clothes, gym to gain muscles, tattoos, etc. Also, the player should be able to steal clothes from NPCS after killing them and should be able to drag and hide the dead body.

Hey brother,I had some true dev suggestions for you,so basically after seeing the trailer,the character movement looks not that good,if you guys used ALS System for the base of the project,this would not have happened,secondly,the weapon animations,it looks like you aren't using procedural animations that's why it looks too foolish,this will result in a great mess afterwards if you don't fix these now,eithe game's graphics are stunning and after seeing the lighting,i hope you guys are using LODs for the meshes,i think it wiuld a well optimized game

Nikhil bhai, agar aap gameplay trailer mein yeh specify kara dete neeche ke section mein ya ending card mein ki "This game is in development phase, final result may vary." toh jyada problem na hoti. Isse hume bas yeh idea hota ki progress kahan tak pohunchi hai. Agge agar koi dusra gameplay showcase karein toh iss baat ko dhyaan mein rakhiyega.
One thing I would like to point out is, you should put "Work in progress" watermark in the gameplay video so that people can know it's still not ready yet. Because when anyone sees that trailer they will think the final product will be like this only. Btw I believe in you and your team.

Mistake done by reviewer: Reviewing the game before it is launched.
Mistake by game marketing and management: Announcing deadlines that they can't met. Please stay silent till you have a production level Alpha gameplay ready . If you want to attract investors then just post it on TH-cam with watermark work in progress or send potential investors seperately but don't create false hope among public. People will lose interest and when your game is launched people will expect what demo they last seen and that was under development. So they won't purchase. This happened to many games and movies in past. WORK IN SILENCE AND LET YOUR RESULT SPEAK FOR ITSELF. And you can get feedback and improve after launching MVP. The feedback you are asking for is not even MVP (Minimal Viable Product)

unreall engine 4/5 gives you amazing graphics out of the box without any configuration, so I think the problem lies in models and custom shaders , that's why previous build looked better in terms of graphics because it was put together with pre-made assets from asset store. They need to focus on their designers to provide better graphics

I don't care about realistic visuals, maybe try having something that has a specific aesthetic/artstyle,
zassar's points were really agreeable. The yakuza series/many J-RPGs doesn't look that well visually but have a unique artstyle and very decent melee combat mechanics, various other stuffs like choice based story progression that make them very appealing to play.
13:18 the expected release date was 2023, no way someone can make a decent game in just 3 years especially when it's your first game of its kind. Please take your time.

tips for improving game
1)Put good and realistic weapon handling and recoil along with camera reshake
2)put good and realistic ragdoll which will give weight of body
3)give realistic weight to car and also put good camera
4)for health bar use a weapon aim reticle and when aiming on npc put healthbar around reticle

Game overall still feels like an Indie game project rather than a AAA game as it should be. I also noticed ki characters Shadow project nhi kar rahe the aur gameplay part is a bit laggy. I hope you guys are also working on optimization along side it.

The most played games are not always big-production games but indie games. There are many games launched, but not everyone can play them because their current PC or system is not capable of that level of performance.
So even if the game is not as good-looking as MW2, etc., if the story, gameplay, and support from devs for future content are good, we are really happy because we want to play games after an entire stressful day and we want to play games that we can afford.
If they produce something like GTA 6, but my system is not capable, then it doesn't matter if the game is Indian or not.

I have been following your channel since before the announcement of Mumbai Gullies. You have come a long way, and I hope you keep going further. I had some feedback that might help. First of all the health bar doesn't need to change, just remove it altogether. There is no need for an enemy health bar in an Action-Adventure game, it's not an RPG. You'd be wasting human effort trying to perfect it. And secondly, graphics do need some work. I'll suggest increasing the polygon count of props and characters as it stands out the most and investing more into better lighting and texture work, lighting being the most important of all. Textures don't need to be clean and perfect. Often the more dirt and scratches you find on a texture, the more realistic it looks. But that of course is subject to your art style. I understand that it'll come with a major performance impact but that's where good optimization comes in. This is what makes the difference between experienced and non-experienced developers. I know you want the game to be accessible so that most people can play it, even with a low/mid-end PC, which is reasonable, as the majority of people in India don't own a gaming rig. But you can use the power of customization to grant people a high range of graphics options that'll allow them to choose between higher fidelity and higher performance. Lastly, I wish you guys all the best. We want to see you succeed and most of all we want to play this game and want it to fulfill the expectations that were set when the announcement trailer was released.
tbh zassar mentioned three levels which is true but very basic things to talk about and there is huge gray area but making a game is entirely another beast to conquer what he mentions barely scratches the surface and most of the games he mentions sure has elements you can compare but not necessarily all of it Mumbai gullies is an ambitious project it is an open world third person shooter the only valid comparisons he mentions of are RDR2 and GTA both owned by big dog of gaming industry Rockstar and Mumbai gullies is just a new start and the budget constraint def will be a big issue to tackle even Nikhil mentions that kudos to him taking the feedback in a positive light and I agree with his approach and honestly speaking about the game. There is a lot to talk on this topic I still have hope for Mumbai Gullies and wish to see this game rise in ranks among the likes of GTA all the very best to Nikhil and his team.
True that though Raji was also a top down approach game , whereas HeLL Blade as well was more of a narrative driven game with less focus on gameplay, if you were to look into its review , folks have called it a walking simulator but it had very good plus points in order for folks to compare with it , so yeah the game making process here would be a lot different , with more money and time needed. And its not even in alpha test phase so clearly a lot , a lot of work needs to be done

1. please optimize the game as much as possible as you know the condition of majority people in india .......
Dont go for 4k textures for the base game... instead add it as a free dlc for those who can run it
2. Sometimes i wish for the graphics and extra content modders to be hired by a studio .. they can already make a good looking game great
3. Would love to see easter eggs and secret locations like the gta series so that this game can stay relevant for a long time.

See I would say it is about the art style rather than the graphics. Sekiro's art style is better than death stranding . I personally prefer the art style than the graphics . Some of my fav games are Borderlands , souls games these games look good not because of the graphics but cuz of the art style they choose for the game . Even elden ring is an example
I believe India will be the hotbed for gaming. It is important that we manage expectations from Indian game company who are foraying into this genre of game (open world sandbox). In honesty, you can make a game look 10x better than anything in the trailer with assets purchased from asset store, but it may backfire when the art design clashes with the rest of the environment later down the road, it is a bad idea.
If the gameplay is solid to the point that you cannot put down the controls of the game for the first half an hour, it has very well captured the expectation. I also think that this game should adopt some early access strategy to raise money (similar to Baldur's gate 3, bit of a stretch but expendable resources are resources to expand when it comes to early access).
People like me who can spend a bit of money can help the devs make this a better game by buying it early and giving critical feedback and the community can enjoy a bug free experience on the day of launch. I also think that if this game were to adopt a more stylized approach (as someone who has dabbled into game development, the idea sounds crazy to me but it has done wonders for some games), there would be lower expectations on realism and more on the gameplay-loop.

The guy reviewing the game sounds like someone with solid biases and is uninformed about games and the game industry in many senses. The review of those games swings in the ways of his strong likings and opinions, rather than the Gameplay, Mechanics, Game Loops, Reward systems, Combat systems, etc. offered by games.
The DS vs Seikiro comparison is BS, the way he did it. but again, I said it swings to his liking, and he sums it up with insignificant umbrella terms.

Zassar made some good points. Its true that gameplay and artstyle > graphics but im guessing the underwhelming nature is due to the early stages in development. The world lacks texture, lighting etc or badically a soul. Another thing is that the area displayed looks procedurally generated and copy pasted which is a huge NONO for modern day gaming. No two are should look the same. Speaking of which sometimes tom clancy world looks like but that but the gameplay makes up for it with a huge variety of guns and mechanics.
Bhai max to max last 3 months mein post production ka kaam hota hai(which is main thing for looks textures, post-processing, shader, final character models, Game Art, environment, UI). Takes time
Keep the gameplay on top priority
It shouldn't feel repetitive add more functionalities

Tip for the game - health bar ki jagah , opacity kr dijiye.....like full health pe opponent fully visible rhega and health low hote uski opacity Kam krte jaiye r marne pe yaa toh body aise niche jameen pe Directly collapse kr dijiye wrna koi cool sa animation marte time....
Additional Tip - cam add visible bones to the enemy which gets visible after after health deduction.....more the health more the muscles appear out of the body(veins) and lesser the health more the skeleton of the body appears.....I think you are getting that right what I trying express.....

I would say, the beachside buildings look like matchbox, and some of the gullies and the vehicle looks a bit like clay model. The gunfight is very very mediocre, but I do believe there will be a good output by the end. My suggestion is that add a second layer of realism, such as in game lores, secrets through things such as posters, mobile ads. And a big thing I want to say is that, some of the buildings, especially those in gunfight areas, the things look too much squary, if that makes sense? Too much symmetry makes the world look mediocre (it felt like a pubg mobile terrain). And I think mo-cap is pretty easily available in today's development era, even TH-camrs with their bedroom as studio is able to put out decent output, the character movements felt lifeless, from the running to gunfire(there is a lot of physics playing out in a gunfight, and this felt none of them applied here). Please improve over the buildings and vehicles, do what gta has been doing since ages, do fake car brands which reflects real life. Again this all are the points I got from the trailer. I do keep hope on the final output. Also I suggest to keep updated on the development through posters or pictures instead of releasing half baked gameplay footage as 'trailers' as it gives a feeling of this is what is being finalized. Please make the game lively and interactive and provides a lot of freedom, or what happened with Watch dogs 2 and legion would be translated to here too. I don't expect GTA 6 but surely do expect something similar in what is done with GTA4. All the best.
In my opinion Mumbai Gullies should be a sandbox game, like Hitman, driven by a solid story. It would kick ass.

This game still needs a ton of work and it will probably take another 5years to reach it's desired mark. It's pointless to hype the game with trailers and gameplay right now

Sir i would like to recommend you to remove the health bar , i think its not necessary...as many AAA games doesn't use health bar..making the game more realistic... secondly the graphics need serious improvements... specially the textures , shadows and lighting.
Texture Quality could be improved and Environment is little empty So, add some cracks ,Trash, potholes,half constructed Roads, Broken Roads ,Broken Buildings, Some Plants and Rocks ,Broken Vehicles,Road Barriers
