"Love Is The Drug" hit the US in 1976 and enjoyed steady play on FM rock radio stations for years afterward due to its infectious groove and striking saxophone fills. I remember hearing the song on the radio back then when I was still a kid and not figuring out the lyrics either. But that was okay because the groove was solid and that was what mattered most. This video cuts about a minute from the studio version of the song, that's why it fades out so quickly at the end there. I saw Roxy Music in concert some years later during their last tour. "Love Is The Drug", to be blunt about it, is about a sex addict looking for hookups in nightclubs and finding them. Their other songs are somewhat more demure. After The Beatles Roxy Music are the most influential British band, you should checkout "Editions of You"(1973) with the best synthesizer solo in music history, or "Out of the Blue"(1974) with its amazing closing solo.(both should be the studio recordings)
