Have a man at bowling who is buying a Ion Max he likes the way it looks. Wants it drilled, I do not think it will work for him. His speed is to slow and wood lanes I think is bad combination. But I like the motion of the ball and the Magic Gem. Both look good in your hand.
Man I need to see the video on him rolling the Max on wood lanes should be funny.
@@badbadbowling101 The look on his face should be priceless, I think I will video it. Whatever ball he buys will be to strong for wood lanes. They always buy top of the line, some others listen when I tell them entry level Trill, Tropical Surge, Counter attack they are the happy ones.

@badbadbowling101 Question for you I'm an older guy throw it 13-14 speed avg.203 travel league. I feel like I'm in no man's land I can throw it straight and go left like 32 to 16 shape it nice problem no matter which way I start leaving boat loads of 4 pins and 10pins then the stone 9 . KINDA FRUSTRATING any TIP WILL HELP. Even my younger friends who crush it don't know what to say . Thanks 👍

What kind of speed does a person need to throw to be able to handle a ball like the Ion Max?
Well this the right surface for the person I would imagine you could throw almost any speed.
@badbadbowling101 I have the Ion pro and find it doesn't dig into the heavier oil patterns as much as I had hoped.
@MarilynWhite-sc4zv this one is stronger! I’m not the biggest fan of the ion pro, but the ion max is different. Stronger a lot stronger it’s the strong cover

U hit the nail on the head. We don’t look where the ball goes thru on strikes. We just see a strike. We need to look at how the ball is finishing and if it’s deflecting we need to make an adjustment even though it was a strike. Great tip Coach . 😃

Love the statement on the finish and I agree. I have a 3.0 widow that I love but keep at 4000 using a 5000 ctd pad by hand. Gives me just enough length before it starts to make its turn allowing me to control the pocket for at least 2-3 games before I have to ball down.
The game is all about understanding what you are seeing.
Thanks for reviewing the setup and position of the ball. I usually push away straight and not at the target. That may explain my inaccracy!🤔
Oh watch your accuracy increase, but remember your forearm is the key. Where your forearm is aligned is where the ball will go every single time.
@@badbadbowling101 Hmmm, I never paid attention to the forearm during the process. I will certainly remember to try this the next time I hit the lanes.

Magic Gem is my absolute favorite ball…. so mad they discontinued it already… Ridiculous.. I’m buying one for the closet to drill later… I gotta have that ball… I keep my Magic Gem dull at 2000 grit tho because I want it to hook earlier.. I just use the attention star ⭐️ when I need that later sharper hook…

ive thought about upgrading to this but ive got the proton and its great but a few times you throw to the right and wont come back but this ball did, i would think that NEX is stronger than NRG but how does the proton stack up to this

@@badbadbowling101 yea that’s like me last week I don’t understand I shot the lights out first week of league gave me a 217 avg then the past 2 weeks I can’t get right
@@ThaHomieNitty_Bowls so I have been experimenting with surfaces having the balls at 7000. How I got them that high I took them up to 5000 then added compound. Then I put polish on each ball taking its up to about 7000. So that created a ton of over/under which makes it tricky to score. Also to make matters worse I drew the bad part which is lane 21-22 in my center. I didn’t draw it once, but twice in the first 4 weeks which is crazy. However I will get back on scoring pace, and should be somewhere in the 220s here shortly.
Well coach... I'm sold! Ion max will be my first ever storm ball.
Only been back in the game a few months now and need a big ASim for the top of the bag. Awesome video as usual.

@@ThaHomieNitty_Bowls I have never been on staff with any company other than Bowlifi. All others like Louis and Charles all of them are/were staffers at some point. Every ball that is or has been ever thrown on my channel, and I mean every last one has come out of my pocket. I have paid for every single ball I have ever reviewed, or the kids have reviewed.
