- On today’s episode of The Therapy Crouch, Abbey and Pete are joined by actor, comedian and children’s author David Walliams who heard us shouting him out on a previous pod and decided to pop onto the couch for a chat!
David talks about his massive success in the world of children’s literature, his literary inspirations and why writing two books is never the same process.
He also weighs in on Abbey’s debut novel ‘Remember my name’ and gives a very special reading of the prologue which now has Abbey pondering if we should get this re released as an audio book!
In the Agony Ab section, we have a Shallow Hal-esqu scenario featuring a boyfriend who is getting worried about his girlfriend waistline woes and we have some very direct advice for a listener whose girls trip is in jeopardy due to the addition of some unwanted plus ones!

Got to be honest this one was the most boring pod you have done I actually fell asleep lol but I normally love your pods and when you have guests on especially when you had Rio and his wife on but this wasn’t your usual style and not what I listen for. Also love Exhibit A Ab! No hate here, well done for trying something different but nooooo keep it light and fun and your usual crazy family style xx
I love podcasts because the conversation is natural and flowing, as opposed to interviews on telly which have just become a space for celebs to plug their latest books or films, so this one wasn’t really for me tbh.
Still some good bits though.

For me the jury is out, I find at times David Williams "smile" never actually reaches his eyes? Honest to god his eyes have a cold dead look to them all the time, his eyes are angry. There's just something not right about him, a smugness a tad aggressive no, give me Abbey and Pete any day
