- Walter Sisulu National Botanical Gardens is situated in Roodepoort, Johannesburg. It's about 30mins from Sandton. We did this hike a number of years ago and this time we were accompanied by my sister and brother-in-law. The park opens at 8am and the hike takes about 2 hours, and is a very steep incline. R60 per adult.
