Sometimes it's really hard to get that plant cover down before the invasives take over or the invasive seed bank sprouts up first. I'm struggling with that this Spring.
European Buckthorn is moving in on my property in NY state. The water table on my property rose after losing over 60 ash trees. The buckthorn trees have a high water content. It’s a nice looking tree, but pretty invasive. The higher water table is now also killing off some of my maple trees. What a mess.
When you burn the wood from the ash tree, does it kick off any heat ? I was camping in May and the ash was burning, but it was not kicking off any heat. I think the genius who made the fire was using damp or wet ash wood. You are sitting by the fire, expecting that heat and nothing ! The woods were very wet that time of year too, the road was muddy driving in, so that is what I think happened.
Hi. I'm from the New Hampshire/ Massachusetts area. 1. What would best to plant in this area? 2nd. question might be the dumbest question asked but... where would I get seeds? 3. If a tree is dying is it okay to plant acorn seeds from a dying tree? (Meaning: are the acorns sick/ and or dying as well from a tree that's dying? And would they grow a healthy tree?
i have 5 ash trees that are starting to show signs of the ash bore. i hope i got to them in time to treat the trees

Must be, we can't think of any reason other than trying to burn wet wood.
Good video 😁

Plant a new tree but ash die back spreads and will eventually kill all the ashes
