Hint: Put a small window on the side containing the video of the speaker. Use the rest of the space for a close up of the slides. This is easier and more effective than editing the entire video trying to jump back and forth (and failing at it).
who made the video? Whenever Chandler is showing interesting stuff (code) on the projector, either the audience or Chandler himself is shown. How am I supposed to spot the bug when the code is not shown (or shown for just 1 second)?!
Wolf Behrenhoff Very true... I also watched other talks of this conference and its very annoying :-/ It would be great for a show or something but not such a technical talk where slides actually show important stuff...
Hopefully they will learn for the next time. Remember how terrible C++ Now videos used to be? Then last year's videos were very nice - just how they should be - use most of the screen to constantly track the presenter's video/slides, and then put the presenter in a box in one corner of the screen. Don't switch back and forth between cameras.
Very good talk, can't wait for part 2 to become available? Any information on when we can expect that one on this channel (alternatively: any alternative sources on how to get our hands on part 2 sooner)?
Too bad generalized c++14 lambda captures are still handled incorrectly with clang-format. (e.g. auto l = [x = 12]{}; produces extra spaces in the square brackets)
clang-format is great but i wish somebody would add c++17 features, e.g., clang-cl supports 'if constexpr' but clang-format doesn't and just barfs everywhere by adding a newline and indenting before the constexpr

Exactly my my thoughts! Whoever did it was obviously completely clueless about programming and probably about making a video in general!!

I upvoted this comment, then i realized number was 42 and canceled it. XD
C++17 is the greatest thing since C++14

He said "clever is not a compliment" and then said "clang-tidy is really, really cleaver"
hmmm...
being clever is a compliment for a machine, not so much for us humans

Can someone tell me if "code::dive" is just the name of the conference or is it also the name of another C++ IDE? Thank you.

1st result: code::dive is an annual event gathering IT professionals and programming ...

Somebody, show CLion or Qt Creator to this guy.
For hard-core coders or someone who work on the remote servers a lot, familiar with vim is a must.
Great talk. Bad video :(
