Ok, confession, I’ve never listened to Orville Peck before. Saw his picture a couple times and thought, “Oh, ok, you have a gimmick, cool”. Anyone that can rock a Replacement’s cover like that deserves further consideration. Fantastic.
@@tombeck5387 I had never heard of the guy so looked him up and although I enjoyed him and he is now on my play list, he just does not have Orville's pipes, just a matter of opinion I guess but I liked the more up tempo version.
@@bookwormfeaohhhh Justin had pipes. Maybe not in that exact song, but check out his live/acoustic stuff. He was a damn powerhouse. Different style of course, but what an amazing musician he was.
@@dangerousliaisons He went on at 10 and the opening band started at 9 it was amazing show he is amazing live brings a lot of energy to the show and he hands out rose's to the crowd.
Alright. I hated this kid, I called him a pretender, but covering this perfect song so beautifully at First fucking Avenue makes me want to give him ten more chances. Good on ya, kid.

Most of this crowd went home that night and became The Replacement fans. Clueless then, learned now. Thank you Orville Peck.

Just when I thought I could not possibly love him more.
God Bless The Replacements.
This is a great cover - full stop
The next night he covered "Fuck School"😆
WOW! This is the only cover of this song that does it justice ! Orville does it again!
The Justin Townes Earle version is actually probably the best version of the song.

@@bookwormfea but Justin has a deep, honest, troubled passion one cannot resist.

Took my girlfriend here on our first date. Our two year anniversary is coming up!
Even though they are in Minneapolis, that crowd probably has no idea who the Replacements are.
Not bad. Not bad at all. ❤
