Things have been getting rough these days. Dealing with myself, dealing with people around me, and feeling lost. Today is my sisters Bday and my brother just got accepted to the college of his choice. They are both the most amazing people in the world to me other than my mother. "Shine that light on me. I'll sit and tell you my stories." I am so thankful this is the song that represents your podcast. Today I feel lost, but I know its all about me being alive to try and improve my family's lives. You’re so right on about laughter. Life is so fucking difficult at times, and I love those moments, when I’m broke down in my car for the umpteenth time, and it’s raining and I’ve got groceries and the kids are all looking at me like “what are we gonna do” and I tell my youngest, “Hand me the bleach back there and let’s all take a couple gulps”, and we all just laugh, pop the hood and learn how to do a new car repair together. The 4 of us all looking at each other in some truly deep crisis moments and just laughing is the realest. I’ve learned, and I hope my kids have too, that it’s all fucking hilarious anyway. “It could always be worse” is the motto around our home. Thanks for your insight, you’re so genuine!
This dude seems like a genuine human being. I’m happy he’s out there making people smile and laugh!!! The world needs people like Theo that have a voice that can be heard and listened to. I know he’s not a super famous person, like a Tom Cruise, but I’m glad he is well known to many people and he seems like he has a good message spread. And most importantly, that he finds humor in the dumb shit of life. I personally think if you can’t find everything somewhat funny, then your just boring. And that’s no fun!!! And one more thing, I heard him say this on his Man Up stuff and it really is true. “Your comfort zone can be your coffin!” So go out there and do something fun today!!!

Theo takes a bite of a bread stick, and he starts worry about how the rest of it will taste. You take a couple more bites and it tastes amazing. There was a small patch of the perfect blend of butter, garlic, salt, and bread! That small bite patch is your success Theo. You are constantly thinking "well what if this is the only REALLY GOOD bite that I get? What if this feeling of salty buttery goodness doesn't last forever?"
That still doesn't take away from the bite. You have an amazing breadstick! You are in the middle of the bite right this second. Some people never get the breadstick with buttery goodness. Some people drop their breadstick on the ground and have to eat it anyway. Some sneeze on their breadstick. Some get breadsticks that are too hard and are tough to chew.... Some people choke on their breadstick. Some breadsticks have too much butter and the whole balance gets thrown off.
Everyone eventually finishes their breadstick... but how much did you enjoy eating it?

I’m listening from Los Lunas, NM and am a 65 y/o white female now retired from professional listening vocation, living on social security and being a nanny part time. Caregiver to husband with dementia. Two adult children around your age (39&41) each with a 7 year old child. I have 25 years of sobriety this 4/20 one day at a time. I want to go to bed with a laugh so I listen to comedians on TH-cam and I’ve found your journey and contributions relaxing. You are transparent with good boundaries, a very good listener and clearly early in sobriety. You are such a good role model on your podcast and generous with your learning curve. Your humor is relatable to me even though you know how to make fun of us older ladies. Gang gang. (Too much from a grandma?) I’m hoping to get over to Phoenix at the end of the month to catch your energy in person and hopefully bring my single mother daughter with me. So cool to think your mom might be in Phoenix, too.
