Reminds me of a really fancy circus circus and like in the beginning she hates doing shows because she’s forced to twist and be a contortionist, like she contorts out of a box and people are breathing fire,silk fabric thingys, tightrope, unicycle, and at the end everyone who is apart of this messed up circus gets together and rise up against the people running the circus show
I mean think about it if she’s the only creature with four eyes, she is the freak, the oddity. “Perfect” for a circus

sorry if someone said this already i cant be bothered to read 126 comments but if you think about it, the mix of songs actually kinda makes sense: in the show and tell music video, melanie's visually being dragged around like a puppet, and the contortionist is partially about being done being pushed and shoved around like an inhumane being.
