Just fyi: Integrated plates are NOT made to sound better. Most integrated plates sound like ass like on a lot of RAMA boards and the Tofu HHKB/WKL. The exception is on PC which negates the downsides of integrated plates
I've got Gat Yellows for my GMMK Compact. Love them, linear like Reds but take a touch more force to push them down so no more typo's or throwing grenades when I didn't want to.
BT I'm insanely jealous, this form factor with those switches are EXACTLY what im lookin for, those gmk metropolis keys are extra icing on top. great vid!

Do you really enjoy this keyboard more than your ALT? I'm looking into getting a hot swappable TKL but don't know what direction to go. Seems like custom/diy is the way to go

Did you lube your gateron ink yellows? I did for my first build and realized maybe I should've paid attention to the leafs since they are loose. I'm noticing inconsistent actuation (for instance, my 'u' key actuates just for resting my finger on the button). I'll desolder it later to see if I can fix it, but I was curious if a hotswap socket would also push contact leaves out of their intended positioning.
I don't like the design of the Thing6.5, but this one is gorgeous. I ordered my Metropolis R2 here in Europe to guarantee to have this amazing keycap set in my collection!

lubing, clipping and bandaid modding reduce rattle and the sound of the stabiliser hitting the pcb not the ping from a plate

I had no issues with my leafs. I did lube these. My Gateron black inks were terrible. Thanks for watching!
