In Australia some of our trees also smell like c*m! Pyrus calleryana known as the ornamental pear, or the callery pear in the US, has that distinctly s*m*ny smell in spring. Same as carob trees which bloom in March-April.
I also do bush regeneration and have noticed that some Wattle trees also have a slightly j*zzy smell to them.
Nature is wild.

Sparkling water is trash in any parts of the world. Drink water or spicy pee choose one. Also soda stream is actually “the worst”
I believe the stinky tree they’re talking about is the Bradford Pear tree (aka Callery pear) which is known as an invasive species in the US, ironically.
My mother planned 5 of those "trees" at her new property. Honestly the worst investment I've seen, can't wait to hear about everyone's faces on future inspections. It's horrid!
