I want to believe that she stayed with the second male lead. Why would that guy attend the wedding and ask her to leave with him? After everything he did to her, why won't he let her move on with her life? Most of what happened to her was his fault.
This shouldn't be open ended. No woman in her right mind would go back to a man that tortured her or a man that would let other men grape her. I feel the writers are a) incels that believe women have no right to feel offended when mistreared, b) women from the time period where women married young and were only divorced when in a casket, or c)ppl trying to indoctrinate young girls int believe this kind of treatment is okay as long as the abusive guy is "sorry".
