I have to tell you something a little funny. I’m watching from the US and in the US we have a very strongly scented cleaner called Pine-Sol that’s bright yellow. So to anybody watching the US those bath salts look just like Pine-Sol hopefully it smelled a lot better 🙂

With the new rules on Shinkansen only allowing those who purchase the seats at the back of the row to use the space behind their chair (and rightfully so) for larger luggage I think an overnight ferry is a great option I hadn’t considered before and a fun adventure. Look forward to trying this and an overnight bus once we can travel overseas to Japan again. Keep up the great work 😊

Hello Heather, Japan do not make mattress, All mattress are imported. Japanese used single futons. So most Japanese couples sleep along side each other but on their own futon and their own comforter. So when you are in Japan and you select and double bed room it is usually two single push together to make a king size. Even expensive hotels don't have Queen or King size mattress. They will push two single together and use King size sheets and comforters.

Your videos take us to another world! Great to watch your expeditions.
One question: Dont see that many people in any of those ferries. Do they get filled with people? OR they travel without many people? How do they manage the costs without many people aboard?

I love how different countries have full size shampoos, conditioners and body wash while here ,in the US, it's like little travel sizes

Hi Kuga, thank you so much for videos like this - I used to travel to Japan at least once a year, though since the pandemic started I've been unable to and I miss travelling to and in Japan terribly. Thanks to your videos, I look forward to trying my very own ferry experience in future :)
    Also love Yukimi Daifuku zomg

Does buffet mean all-you-can-eat or something else? When you pay for the buffet on the ferry between Strømstad in Sweden and Sandefjord in Norway you can eat as many potatoes, meatballs, fish, wine etc as you wish. Is it the same there?

The pine bath salts would smell amazing, but the water looks like highlighter ink that we used in school, XD
