I'm sure he loves his new wife very much but there's no disguising it. This song has Linda all over it...Sir Paul will never get over her he has just learned to live without her. I hope his new wife will understand. She seems to be a nice and classy lady. Good luck, Sir Paul. This was a live take - one reason to be nervous. Number two: Walsh knows McCartney is more legendary than he'll ever be (seems to revere him like most people who were inspired by the Beatles), and anything connected with Macca will be recorded for history and judged and viewed by millions well after they are both dead and gone. Good reason to feel the pressure of turning in a flawless performance, especially next to the songwriter. The most successful one of all time no less. But this is my take. You might be right Miles. What do I know? Just sayin'.
Joe sold Jimmy Page his #1 Les Paul yrs ago, joined the Eagles in '75? '76?... I'm not a huge Walsh guy, I just don't see him being star struck... I might be a different story... I would probably crap my pants! My two brushes with greatness?... I met and hung out with Pat Travers and Carmine Appice on different occasions in the '90's... Just my opinion...
