As a girl with daddy issues, I'm happy you were able to mend the relationship with your father. For me, I think just because someone is family doesn't mean you have to have a relationship with them if all they ever do is hurt you. Of course its important to move on from the past, and process emotions from the past, but if that person still continues to hurt you its not worth the pain to have them around you. Saying this all out of love of course. I chose to love from a distance at this point

Emma, thank you for talking about this! I am so glad you are talking to your dad again. I lost my dad 10 years ago. I am turning 21 in two months and I wish I could have my dad here for all the special moments in my life. Hold your parents and your siblings close to your heart, cause they only want the best for you❤️
I recently read the book Forgiving What You Can't Forget and it was SO good. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is working towards healing and forgiving a traumatic event or situation.
Emma, I have watched your videos and have been a fan of yours for so long and to see your growth and strength is truly admirable. Thank you for sharing content that we can enjoy, but also take life lessons from. So happy that you are speaking with your dad and spending time with him, because life really is too short. Speaking of "dad issues " ny dad is an alcoholic and has been for the last 10 years .... he straight up beat my mom so much and even would hit on me before I moved out.. but , I've forgiven him but he has gotten so worse and idk what to do anymore he is already too far gone he has gone to rehab and everything . I'm just so glad that you've started talking to your dad again becasue you're right , life is too short.
