I watched a video on Taekook-lives' channel (Link: • more coming out hints,... ) where she talked about the background and a theory behind this song, saying jimin is the bird and that jungkook is the moon and then moonchild and rm's mixtape and their possible connections. (It's called "more coming out hints, Jungkook is the moon theory (Taekook kookv analysis)' and is 20 minutes long but I found that it was worth the watch.) And in the video, she says that it was made during what taekook shippers refer to as their "breakup year", 2017. RM talked about the song in a post on fancafe. Taehyung said the song is primarily about the time he was waiting for jimin in the park around dawn. He was crying. And the seemed to be the only ones there, but the moon was watching.
